This dumpling set appears to be well-made, except for the rolling thing (which I have NO idea what it's for), and my biggest NO is that there were NO instructions and NO recipes...I'll deal with it as best as I can, as the price was right. Have already purchased cookbooks about dumplings and pierogis, just have to figure the rest of it out :)

This aren't the most heavy duty, but are fine for using once in a while. I've had fun using these and they work great. If you want to try your hand at dumplings or pierogis, this is an inexpensive product to try that makes the process easier.

If you're new to oriental cooking you need to find instructions elsewere. Luckly most is self expainitory

The metal cutters, knives and presses work great. The rolling cutter not so much...it catches and stops rolling. The value is still there. I used mine to make pierogis.

Easy to use...wish it came with directions

Es un kit muy cute pero... no es para empanadas, es demasiado pequeño. Mi error no me di cuenta. Igual podemos hacer dumplings en casa pero no era para lo que lo quería. Además de eso, todo está muy bien con el kit.

Sort of small and sharp edges

Well. I was hoping for a bit more quality - but you get what you pay for... the rounds are VERY flimsy. The handled rolling cutter is about the most sturdy thing in the kit - the two spreader/filler spatulas are pretty good. The two wonton/dumpling presses are really flimsy and loose. I hope they will get through the mini project I have. They say they are stainless... but if they are, it's the thinnest stainless I have ever seen. The super thin inner box they came was open (sticker closure was sliced through) so someone else looked, passed and returned this set. I hate that. It should NOT have been resold. Included with the order was a card the says "congrats, you won the prize" There is a qrl square and a scratch off box that reveals "first prize"... when you go to the website it is a mag subscription (I don't remember what - but nothing good), a whole 6 month warranty, or a $2 "cash" card on your next amazon order. You will need your order number to obtain this info - but then, I've just shared it. All in all this is a very cheap, light weight set. If you make wontons/dumplings a lot - you'll want a much better set. However, for my use - maybe once? I might be ok.

The boxing is good, good quality and easy to use.
