Premium Brad Point Drill Woodworking Bits w/Beveled Edges Size 5mm x 86mm

Bought this to drill through 3/8 inch acrylic. Drilled through perfectly with no chips or cracks like you usually get with a regular blade. It's a Fisch product so definitely a quality bit.

This Fisch brad point drill bit works very well for woodworking. It drills clean, accurate holes with minimal tear-out and stays on target without wandering. It feels well made and performs consistently. Overall, it does exactly what it is supposed to do and is a reliable bit for wood projects.

I'm a landlord remodeling a house and needed to install t-bar pulls on the new cabinets. After years of marking all the holes by hand or making custom jigs out of scrap wood, I finally decided to try buying an adjustable hardware jig. Most of these jigs are designed to use 5mm bits, so I ordered this brad point bit to use with it. I don't need a bunch of metric brad point bits, so being able to purchase a single low-cost high-quality bit to keep with the jig was perfect for me. The bit performed well for the 60 or so holes I had to drill, most in maple and a few in MDF. The bit was straight with a sharp brad point that made it easy to precisely mark the location of the hole using the jig. Holes were clean and round, with no tear out so long as a backer board was used. The bit I received is NOT made in Austria as the listing title currently displays and is not stamped with the Fisch logo. Th packaging is branded as Fisch, being made in China based on their design and specifications. The listing should be corrected, but at my time of purchase this bit was less than $3 with Prime next day shipping. I expected as much. It worked well and the bit that came with my jig was a joke so I am a happy customer.

Very good quality

Very sharp. The size is exactly as described. The case is a bit flimsy but dies the job to protect it. It drills like a champ cutting the diameter needed for bolts. It is very stable, very straisht alignment too. It was very easy to use.

I’m using these bit for work, make a live as advertised. I will buy them again. In fact, I already have.

The little drill bit that could. I had for the first time of my life drill into hard wood poles. And only 3 mm holes. I bought a few "cheaper" ones for like 2€ and this one (about 5€). The first broke on the first hole, and felt fleamsy from the get go. Then I used this one and another longer one from another brand to extend the hole a bit further. After about 50 holes, the "extender" also broke. So we had to use only the Fisch one. Had to do it in two steps, plus we worked hard to clean the flutes between drills. But eventually - it held up 280 holes in hard wood! You can see how it looks like afterward.
