flash
Good Flash does not last long though. I bought the flash about a year ago as a back up flash. I barely used it and the flash bulb burnt out on it very quickly. Unfortunately the warranty just ran out when it quit working and i have to trash a barely used flash.

Great Flash, with some limitations
I've had this flash for a couple of years now, and it still works flawlessly. I normally deploy it for event photography, where the ETTL saves me some time. The main problem I have is that the trigger pin is different than most flashes, so radio triggers (such as cowboy studios, or cactus), won't trigger them (so in those occasions, I just deploy it as an optical slave and shoot it in Manual mode, or with a TTL cord [and use my other flashes in Optical Slave mode]).Aside from that, I need to send it to Sigma for an update, as I upgraded my main camera, and the flash and the camera don't communicate too well (free upgrade by Sigma in NY, so I'll just miss my flash for a bit). This was my first speedlight, and it helped me a lot to understand light, and to lose the fear for strobes. I would recommend that you also purchase a TTL cord to get the flash off axis from the lens (out of the camera).

Performs as expected
This flash performs as expected. Weight balance is average, slides in and out of mount without problem, and has a good rotate-click mechanism for positioning light. Recommended.
