Q: my figures are 1/35 scale and dont have bases might this still work? if i have to glue it to a base then i might as well just do that

I tried a 1/35 figure and it kept pinging out. These are designed specifically for the Warhammer figure bases. For 1/35 I use locking forceps clamped around the figure’s foot or ankle. The other option is a universal work holder, also on Amazon, which can be either handheld or bench mounted. A series of holes and pegs allow for irregular shapes to be clamped securely.

Q: Will this design still hold square bases like the previous version did?

I have used it to hold rectangular bases. But it was only the corners of the clamp that were holding it and could move side to side with some pressure on it. The clamps have curved interior with chamfer more suited to general game workshop models.
