Fixed the UMIK-1 problem my old 20-foot cable created
I was running a room sweep to dial in placement for two subwoofers, using a UMIK-1 on a 20-foot USB A cable. That cable had been fine with a headset, so I never suspected it. Six hours of inconsistent measurements later, I finally traced the problem back to it. In hindsight it makes sense: a headset is low bandwidth and error tolerant, while a measurement mic streaming continuous timing-sensitive audio is not. The cable was marginal the whole time, I just had never asked it to do anything hard. The USB 2.0 spec caps passive cable runs at 5 meters, about 16 feet, so my 20-footer was already past the limit before I plugged anything into it. Anything longer than that needs an active cable. I went with the 25-foot BlueRigger for two reasons. It specifically calls out USB 2.0, so I knew the active circuitry was built around that protocol instead of just being labeled "USB" and left to chance. And unlike most of the options I looked at, it explicitly lists microphone compatibility. It worked. Sweeps ran clean, results were repeatable, and I finished the remaining measurements in a fraction of the time the troubleshooting had taken. The cable itself is flexible, which mattered more than I expected. Repositioning a mic across a room on a long run is a lot easier when the cable is not fighting you. The end caps are metal and feel solid rather than hollow. If you are running a measurement mic, a webcam, or anything else past 16 feet, this is the cable to buy up front instead of after you have burned a day.

Great cable
I'm using it with an Airspy R2 SDR -- a device that draws a decent amount of power, maxes out USB 2.0's bandwidth, and it's sensitive to drops and latency; can't even use most USB hubs. However, I've had zero issues with this active extension (I'm using the 32ft). I was worried about it introducing EMI, but it actually improved my reception because I could get my receiver and antenna farther away from the computer. 10/10

Works perfectly with my 4k/30 fps webcam
I bought the 25' length to connect to the 5 ft cable that came with my EMEET S600 4k webcam. It works perfectly. No issues connecting or maintaining the connection with a 4k/30 fps resolution. I display the webcam video using the VLC Media Player and I verified no frames were dropped via its Statistics dialog. I connect it to one of the built-in USB 3.0 ports on my Lenovo AIO (the camera and cables are USB 2.0 but I only had a USB 3.0 port available). Build quality looks excellent. Cable is robust but still flexible enough to route with a reasonable bend radius (as packaged is coiled with a 4" radius).

Does what we needed.
Needed a powered USB to run a web cam from our home studio into another room. For the price, this does exactly what we needed.

Excellent Cable, But Not For Everything
This is clearly a well designed and well constructed cable, and the workmanship is top-notch. It should work nicely for most applications that the average user would put it to. BUT, be aware, this cable will NOT work with devices that require power for more than just data transfer. An example of this would be external USB powered hard drives (e.g WD Passport), high-powered USB WiFI adapters (e.g. ALFA Cards), and similar powered USB devices requiring higher amounts of power to function. (Exception: it WILL work with external hard drives that have their own power sources. In other words, hard drive with their own plug-in power adapter.) It probably will not charge or power most devices such as iPhones, iPads, iPods (a lot of 'i's' I know) and the like. However, it works fine with devices requiring very little power, or no power at all, but only requiring a transmission medium for data transfer. For example, it will work fine with printers and USB flash drives. I plugged mine in to several of my USB flash drives and they all work fine with it. It also works with the printer. However, when plugging it in to my external USB powered hard drives (which contain a motor which must receive adequate power), it does not work. If in doubt, I suggest you first contact the manufacturer of the device for which you intend to use this cable.

Works with my USB audio interface
My recording setup: the microphone and headphones are in a converted walk in closet, the desktop computer with recording software is in another room. I can control the recording software from the closet using a remote desktop connection. I wanted to have my USB 2.0 audio interface (Tascam US 144 MKII, the audio interface gets power via USB, it does not have a separate power supply) in the closet with me so I can easily adjust the input level, microphone level, and input/computer balance. (Previously I had the interface next to the computer and had to walk back and forth from the closet to the computer every time I wanted to change something). Problem was, the distance from the closet to the computer is longer than the 16.5 feet which is said to be the maximum length for a USB 2.0 cable. Searching online, I found another reviewer with the same setup who found that the Bluerigger 32ft cable worked. I emailed Bluerigger asking if the cable would work with my audio interface; Bluerigger responded promptly that yes, it would work. So, I have just tried it, recording a guitar track and overdubbing a vocal. It works. Now the signal from the headphone output on my audio interface wasn't quite loud enough. Probably not as much voltage is getting through the 32ft cable. But I plugged the line outs from the interface into a headphone amp I have in the closet, problem solved. So far so good. If any problems become apparent I will update this review. For now, three cheers for Bluerigger.

Works Perfectly
I've been using this cable to tether my Pentax K-1 to Lightroom at large events for 2 years now. It's never given me any problems. I use it in combination with a passive 15' USB cable with an angled micro-A end that connects to the camera, which gives me a 48 foot range from my laptop. The other end of the active cable plugs into a powered USB 3 hub, which itself is connected to the laptop. This setup has been perfectly reliable for countless hours-long photo sessions where the camera is in one room and the laptop is at a separate, selling table. This cable is one of the only things in my setup that I never give any thought to, because it "just works", and that's awesome. People walk all over it, it gets yanked on constantly, the end get tied into a knot to keep it from coming apart from the passive cable, and yet this cable keeps on doing what it does best: not give me grief. The only reason I came back to write a review is because I was considering using a longer active cable to give myself even more distance, but unfortunately the 33 foot option is the longest in this brand. I hesitate to try a different brand since this one has been so reliable, and I doubt that joining two of these together would give me the reliability I need. Oh well, time to experiment, I guess.

Very impressed Wecams and astrophotography telescope control
Extremely well made, well shielded and strong. Had some reservations as 10m is double the USB2 5m max spec but the active repeater works well and is immediately recognised with Windows 8.1. As a test so far tried it with a USB3 Pen connected to USB2 and USB3 ports and it read/writes fine and streams from video on the pen drive without problems. Obviously the active repeater is USB2 chipset so speed is limited to USB2. Originally used with a waterproofed webcam for bottom of garden pond! Updated 2018 - Now using for astrophotography with Win 10 - had two of these cables but one went faulty (likely got snagged) so ordered another, have a go to mount, guidescope and DSLR camera all connected via a mini USB hub at the scope then connected to my laptop with this, I actually join the 2 cables to make 20M when needed - note that it generates a virtual com port, when you have two connected the com port number changes - really good quality & value
