Small pin size for smaller snap rings.
Pretty solidly built. Used it 10 minutes after delivery and it worked as expected. May be a bit bulky for some clips in tighter spaces but that is true of most.

Another quality tool from Irwin
Always a quality tool if it has Irwin on the label. The multi tip ring oilers are versatile for all sizes and types of rings. Quality grips, perfect size for the job. Used for removal and replacement of marine throttle cables. Easy to remove the rings with great tools!

Works great
Works great. Has a variety of “heads” for different rings. Does both external and internal snap rings.

Works okay, the replaceable tips aren't sturdy.
I needed this pliers to rebuild a power steering rack that had a few circlips. The replaceable tips are pretty neat with the way they are attached and reversible BUT they are not stiff once you really squeeze on them. The tips flex apart too much then the clip goes flying, so you need to use both hands. One to compress the clip and the other to prevent the tips from flexing apart and launch the clip into space. There's a learning curve. Overall, B-

Works great but be sure to setup the tool correctly
The tool works great but the instructions are very vague (there's a picture that I couldn't understand initially with no text). You need to configure the tool depending on what type of snap ring you are removing - 1) the kind that goes inside the tube and expands and needs to be compressed to remove, or 2) the kind that goes around the outside of the tube and needs to be pulled apart to remove. To configure the tools there's a pivot pin you pull out then you can flip the head to select whether you want to compress or pull apart the ring. My first time using the tool I had it backwards which made the job much more difficult!

These work properly--squeeze to CLOSE!
I started off with some cheaper Chinese knock-offs. They worked backwards--you had to squeeze them to spread the ring clip. That is MUCH more awkward. These work correctly!

They work (kind of)
The concept behind these is great but the execution not so much. The swappable tip mechanism is way too flimsy. The tips flex under the pressure of the snap clip. I’m going to try replacing the spring on the retention clip with a stronger one to see if that helps. An easier fix might be some small washers between the pin head and spring to increase the tension. Overall they work but they are really finicky and if you’re not careful your snap clip will go flying off into Timbuktu
