Magnetic parts doesn’t stick together enough. It is weak.
It is a nice product to stimulate the creativity of young minds, but the product doesn’t hold itself together long enough for them to enjoy their work. The magnetic parts doesn’t hold itself together, especially when it is on the remote robot mode. The main control that is attached in the bottom of the design falls off easily. There is too much weight for the weak magnet to hold it in place. My son likes the product, but was disappointed due to this issue. This was his Christmas gift. I would not advise this to be given as a gift if it would only disappoint the receiver. The assembly was easy. You get what you paid for.

Magnets will not hold weight. Fall apart with a sneeze
Motors and solid support work. Magnets will not support weight or alight breeze. Good for quick build until you touchIt and it collapses

The Discovery assembly moon explorer kits (3) I have purchased for my 5 and 8 yr. old grandsons.
I have watched in awe in how they have been captivated by their imagination. The first two kits I purchased were the rocket and landing gear and the one with a space station. The following week "6O Minutes" aired a portion on the craft landing on Mars. As they listened they could hardly contain themselves as they vision one day landing on the moon. Truly, this was a beginners (the 5 yr. old) introduction to electric circuits--- the various objects must be connected properly to allow the electric battery charge to be conducted through the rocket, landing gear, etc.The electric packs are rather easy on the batteries.

Too bad it doesn't compliment Discovery Magnetic Tiles
I was hoping this would have complimented my kids' Discovery Magnetic Tiles. I tried contacting customer service to find out if it would, but I never got a response. So I bought it anyway. The pieces seem fine, but they do not work with the other sets. Instead of attracting, the pieces repel or attract mismatched. Also, the plastic pieces that go into the triangle do not fit the triangle we already had. If I had known that this was not going to compliment the sets we already have, I probably wouldn't have bought. I'd consider returning, but how do you explain taking away a Santa present. So, im stuck with a nice set, but it's on its own.

Doesn’t stay together well
You can put projects together but magnets don’t stick well so the projects fall apart easily

Fell apart
Wheels did not attach very well to the legs. Fell apart when we made the robot racer.
