This is a brilliant kit for learning the very basics of circuitry. There so many different combinations of the elements that can be used toake different sounds, to make the lights brighter or darker. It's easy for a 6 year old to use as well. The pieces are a good size and are strong/durable too. We brought this as my 6 year old has always been into building things and understanding how things work mechanically. Recentlyhe has started asking about motors for his crafts so they can have moving parts, and this kit has satisfied this curiosity, in a super safe way. It's extremely good value for money and so much fun. I'm short, I cannot speak highly enough of this. I highly recommend it!

Bought this for my 7 year old. Showed an interest in how things work so thought I would bit for him. Easy to use, instructions and how to make circuits, easy to follow. He prefers hands on learning and enjoys playing with this kit. Easy for little hands to place and pull apart. Doesn't feel fragile, nice and sturdy and I'm not worried he will break something! For the little ones into science, it's a fantastic little set. Would buy more sets like this, really impressed with quality for the price.

Excellent STEM kit for kids who enjoy building and experimenting. Plenty to do and educational without feeling boring. Instructions are clear and everything is simple to put together. Wish I had bought two sets, my son wanted to experiment with more complicated builds!

This has proven a very popular learning kit for several children in our family. The pieces are easy to use and manipulate and with easy to read instructions children can very quickly generate fun circuits to play with. The buzzers are particularly popular and investigating the impact of different components on the resulting sounds provided interest for some time. While this item appears on the pricey side for any child with an interest in electronics this is a good starting point and the quality of the pieces and their durability is clear from the start.

Great kit. Good for teaching the basics of circuits but provides some more challenging elements too. Bought for our 5 year old but this will last him into his teens for sure. Decent set, good quality, works well instantly. Clear instruction book. Can be a little tricky for little hands to connect the pieces but he is only 5 so older kids shouldn't struggle too much. Great, safe intro to circuits and electricity.

My grandchildren absolutely love this. The 7 year old follows the instructions for various experiments and the 4 year old joins in the fun of testing the results. The quality is fantastic, the press studs can be a bit tough for little fingers and it requires adult supervision, partly as it has voltage but mostly as the parts need to be placed carefully. It comes with everything to make light, sound and action experiments. A big colourful book of clearly explained instructions for each experiment. If you get through the book you can then begin designing your own ideas so this has endless possibilities. It’s scientific, educational, it aids in following and reading instructions, and the results are good fun.

good, interesting for a child

Such a good buy! My son is interested in science so I bought it for him as a safe way to tinker with circuits. The parts feel well made and good quality. There are a lot of different options for the circuits, lights, sounds and even a helicopter (although when the batteries are running low it doesn’t work as well). There is a well made information booklet with ideas of circuits to make which is easy to follow but my son also tries to execute his own ideas. It keeps him occupied for up to an hour playing independently. I think it says for ages 8+ but I gave it to him when he was 5 and after some initial support he was able to use it independently. He’s now 7 and still happy using it. I buy it for his friends as birthday gifts.
