Red Devil 0405 Kitchen & Bath Caulk Siliconized Acrylic White 5.5 Oz. Tube

I've been using the Red Devil 0406 Duraguard Kitchen & Bath Siliconized Acrylic Caulk, and it has truly impressed me. The application process was smooth and straightforward, making it easy to achieve a professional finish. The caulk adheres well to various surfaces, including ceramic tile and glass, which is perfect for my kitchen and bathroom projects. One of the standout features is its durability. Even after several months, the seal remains intact and shows no signs of discoloration. Plus, the fact that it's paintable is a huge bonus, allowing me to match it perfectly with my decor. Easy to work with.

I don’t know if my tube was old….it came out white, but had a yellow tint when it cured. But it is quality silicone that I used around the shower surround. Also, not sure if it was an age issue, but the first quarter of the tube was really hard to squeeze out. But for some reason, after some use, it flowed much easier. As far as the yellowing, it is paintable, and I covered it with some white latex. For non-water areas, I will use Dap instead. That stuff dries pure white, but it’s not silicone.

I had cracks along my bath and shower and thought I need some caulk. Having never caulked anything before, it seemed like I need the most basic tool. After researching on Amazon, all others seemed to need a dispenser. So I got this one and have nothing but great results. The tube was plenty enough to cover the whole bathroom but I ended up using about half the tube to put thick lines all along the cracks. Then I used a plastic spoon to smooth things out. I read later that a plastic knife would be better and can see why. Regardless, the job was started around midnight and completed in 15 minutes. Then I ran a fan for a few hours to help oxygen circulate. The next morning, I took a quick shower and felt the caulk. It was still malleable to a degree, and I shaped it a little more. Then I went out and came back about 12 hours later and everything seemed set. The smoothening looks like an amateur did this but it looks fine and sturdy and seems like it will stand up to the test of time for years to come.
