Review: A great idea. - Pretty cool little book. Sometimes it's easier to write something than to say it clearly since you can think more during the delay. Most of the questions are fairly idle and light hearted, some pages are a ton of " favorites". Like little bubbles all over the page with questions like " favorite movie" "favorite snack" " favorite Holiday" with a line under to write the answer, other pages are short questions like, if in you had an unlimited amount of money what is the first thing you would buy? Or what is your favorite subject in school? Some questions have funny prompts like " if you were a superhero what would your powers be?" There are pages that ask questions of the dad and of the daughter equally, so it's kinda a two way method of understanding each other better. And there are a few questions here and there that seem kind of innocuous but can be used to get a little insight like " what is your favorite thing about yourself?" Which can help you gauge self esteem etc. Fand there are a few pages where there are 3 example pictures with an empty space underneath that asks you to draw your own version of a tree, or a teddy bear or whatever, which is a chance to be creative or try to duplicate the example image. the dad pages and the daughter pages are interwoven with each other, though sometimes Dad and daughter will have the same questions on their own page but those 2 pages won't be next to each other, that way your not referencing each other's answers when you do your own. It was a neat activity that required several sessions to complete. It takes a little bit of encouragement to get a kid to do anything that isn't involving their electronics but there are good times to nudge them into it. Like when they have to wait for you to checkout at the grocery store or waiting in the car with you while you pick up dinner. It's worth the modest price if you care enough about your kid to encourage them to complete it. Especially good during school breaks or maybe sick days. Age range is probably around 7 to 12 assuming your kid can read. Which mine does well. It's not super intrusive or anything that would be embarrassing to have someone read. Review: Makes a great gift! - This is a really nice journal for dads, and daughters. It's geared more towards younger daughters.

A must get gift
I got this for my father for his birthday and we passed it between us when I was up at college and it was my favorite thing ever. We have it all filled out and I learnt so much about him that I never knew. Super cute and honestly super fun!

All prompts no creating the questions. Easy. They are loving it
Backgroung: Found this by chance. My son-in-law owns 2 barbershops. He is a busy young man. My oldest Gdaughter is 8yrs old and busy with ballet, school, choir, and play dates. He works every day as a barber at both shops. She's growing up fast. I purchased this book and asked my Gdaughter if she would like to give to her dad on fathers day. Nonone told him I got the book, our secret. Its been 9 days since and they are already using it! Im sooo very happy. Each page has questions and other prompts for dad to tell daughter about himself and vice versa. No trying to think of a subject. Its all right there. He fills out his page at night and slips it to her for her turn. This is a book, once completed, that will be a treasure to keep for them both. Best gift yet! This fits their style of communication.

Printing error
The book has a printing error. On the inside it talks about mom in two spots when its supposed to be a father daughter journal
