Review: If you can get kola syrup, put it in tonic water and save a bunch of money - This was interesting. I understand it's good with lemonade, and a favorite in South Africa. I liked it, but don't think that my solution in the title produces anything inferior to this rather expensive stuff. If it was a concentrate at the price charged, that would be a lot more palatable.

I have been searching for this for cocktails!
I have been looking for Kola tonic because it is called for in Ted Haigh's Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails to make a prohibition era cocktail called the 'Filmograph Cocktail.' SUCCESS! I think this is the real deal.
