Fred Flintstone Bowie
I collect large knives and currently own 2 of the Sawhill Cutlery Ark-N-Saw Bowies. Both of these knives I was able to acquire for under $20 delivered. I also own an $80 KaBar Becker BK9 combat bowie, which some people consider to be the gold standard for large blades. Although I love my Becker BK9, I am not going to tell you that it is 4 times better than the Sawhill Bowie, or even twice the knife. The Sawhill bowie is a roughly finished (full tang) Pakistani blade, but is quite attractive in a primitive sort of way. The laminated wood grips are well done and multi colored. The Sawhill is a great chopper and arrived with a medium sharp edge. Some sites are calling this a stainless steel knife while others list it as tool steel. I believe it is made of tool steel but can't prove it. In any case the Sawhill Cutlery Bowie gets my vote as the best economy knife currently on Amazon. The Sawhill Bowie is admittedly quite a heavy knife, not particularly well suited for backpacking. But if you are in the market for an affordable heavy duty blade and are not weight conscious, you might consider the Ark-n-Saw 9 inch Bowie. I love this knife. And its functional light weight leather sheath is a big step up from the sort of nylon garbage sheaths you normally associate with inexpensive knives. So buy one before the price goes up. Over and out.

My first true bowie
I collect fixed blade and folding knives, machetes, throwing axes, tomahawks, and whatever else I feel looks useful and or interesting. With that being said Just received this knife this past sunday and it seems pretty solid and sturdy. Was sharp enough out of the box but touched up the blade. The handle is huge but looks good. I am satisfied with my purchase. Update 8/12/14, I decided to bastard file the hell out of the handle, and it really made a difference. I also filed up and sharpened the top mock edge, yeah my vocab sucks when drinking. Anywho will cut really well and the back swing will F up anyone or anything's day. Still satisfied and happy with the mods I did.

A powerful and useful knife!.
An impressive and powerful bowie!.The handle shows imperfections behind the guard, but it's a nice bowie for the price.Looks good in my collection of useful bowies.

Unflattered by it's maker but good
Ok, This knife is a little overweight but puts its weight in the right places. She has a unique appearance due to the fact this "ARK 'N SAW" title is fully Pakistani.Initially I was ready to put it back in the box and put it on the night train,as a reject. My daughter played with it a few minutes and showed me what the little "Bubba" could do with her weight. My daughter is a fencer and has a wide knowledge of the "cutting" arts.I am most Pleased.Ok, let's get my one"Pisser" off the counter. Why not say where the thing is from if it is from somewhere other than the US. Be honest. your buyer loyality will increase I think.Yeah, the ARK-N-SAW " does ot look like it is a show Knife, but when you put the cards on the table it really is. If you've worked a forge and make wageon wheels you'll understand

The real hard woring knife in the woods
The practical do- it- all knife that I will carry while camping in the forest.Very good steel can keep the sharpest edge for a long time of abusing.I love it with the out of world cheap price..This is also must carry in the car for self protection, shorter but heavier than Katana tanto.

what a trip.
Ok lets start by saying this thing is mammoth, I dig the whole knife because of the looks, feel and and country of origin. yes i know it's Pakistan but how it looks gives you the feeling of, hay thats kinda cool, it looks like a knife made of traditional Pakistan methodsweather this is good or bad depends on your view, BIG, OVER THE TOP, AND COLORFUL! . The file look with all it's little imperfections, the handles multi colored wood, the big robust brass guard all give this knife it's character. I for one collect knives and appreciate all the above qualities. and for the price you wont hear me complain. By the way, after seeing a fellow on youtube chop away at a good size log like it was nothing makes me like it even more because I love work horse knives.Get one, appreciate, enjoy it

Factory cracks !
Except for the cracks , I really like it! Big hunk of metal, multi-color handle is different , is put together ok, the 'file' look is kinda cool, gives it a homemade look. Just wanted a tool or beater to carry in truck or tractor. When first one arrived I didn't see the crack at the top of the blade right away, thought I must have done it somehow but was going to return it because I didn't abuse it at all, but liked it so I ordered another to have while returning the first. When the second one came it had a crack in the same place at the top of the blade. Guess I'll try another knife, its a shame because these are really cool.

This thing is build like a tank and the craftsmanship is better than Timber ...
powerful full tang blade that takes a razor's edge. It's rough and tumble raider's bowie style makes it suitable for camping and other possible needs. This thing is build like a tank and the craftsmanship is better than Timber Rattler. Awesome bargain. The sheath is nothing to write home about, though.
