These Bears are Fun and Help My Twins Learn!
My four-year-old twins are starting school this fall and I wanted to get some toys that are multi-purpose, educational toys, as well as fun! After some searching, I came across this cute set of Baby Bear Counters. We already had some toys made by the same company and liked them so I didn't hesitate to purchase this set. This particular set of Baby Bear Counters comes with 102 bears (please note, on the product page one part says there are 120 and another says 102. There are 102 bears, just like the packaging says and I verified this by counting them all when we first received our set.). There are six different colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple so there are 17 bears of each color. They are all the same size, measuring about an inch in height. In one of the pictures I've included, I'm using a quarter for size reference. This set comes in a nice plastic container with a lid and they are made in China. There are a number of activities you can use with these bears and there is a guide included. Some activities are: color sorting, addition, subtraction, patterns, counting, and visual memory, among many others. There are also suggestions for some games included in the bucket. So far, my kids have used these mostly for color sorting and imaginative play but I see us using these a lot, especially when they start school. They are also practicing their counting skills and these bears are perfect for that!Besides being extremely cute, these bears are durable and made of hard plastic. The recommended age is for ages three and older and I would definitely be aware of that if you are considering purchasing these. The bears are rather small and a small child who likes to put items in his or her mouth could easily choke on them. As some other reviewers mentioned, the red and orange bears sometimes look similar in color, depending on the light (I even have trouble occasionally), but if you use them in brighter light, you should be fine.Overall, we are very happy with this purchase and I'm so glad I found these! They are cute, colorful, and come in a nice plastic tub for easy storage. There are so many activities we can use with these bears and, when my kids start school, these will come in handy for helping them learn. If you want a toy for your preschooler that is both fun and educational, I highly recommend these!

Great product, perfect for math
These bears are wonderful. They are the smaller ones, so make sure that is what you'd like to purchase. As a teacher, I see bears like this used in early elementary classrooms all the time. They are used for multiple math activities such as counting, making and completing patterns, adding, subtracting, and solving story problems. The only complaint I have is that the lid was cracked and broken when it arrived. The Amazon packaging was a poly mailer, which didn't protect the bears container in transport. The UPS worker was fantastic. When he delivered the package he explained that I may want to contact Amazon as he believed something inside may have not be packaged correctly and was now broken. So, kudos to him for taking the time to knock on the door and let us know. Fortunately it was only the lid, and the bears were fine as they are very good quality and solid plastic. I'll just put them in a different container.

Better than legos for foot pain! :P
These are a great product!! We bought a kit of counting bears through our homeschool curriculum provider and several of our children decided they needed misplaced and/or thrown into the trash. These are very similar, cost less (though there aren't quite as many as the other kit) and work well for our children in their math. They are also a great surprise to your feet when the kids don't put them back in the container and your feet find them. :P I would highly recommend these. The size is great for little fingers to work with and the colors help when dividing our for addition, subtraction, ten's place, etc. Would buy from them again! (But hopefully the kids won't lose/throw these away.) -andrea

Perfect
I bought these to replace a really old set of counting bears that came in the Saxon kit, since we had lost quite a few bears. These were a perfect replacement. They're hard plastic (not rubbery like the old saxon ones) and a little more narrow on the bottom, so slightly more prone to toppling over if your kid likes them to sit upright. Thye are well made, sturdy, and perfect for all your pre K learning needs. (Attached are photos comparing them to the old saxon bears- bottom/right are the new ones)

Excellent Learning Tool for Patterns, Sorting, and Much More!
I've been trying to teach my preschooler about patterns and sorting and these have been so helpful! In the plastic storage tub, you get 102 counting bears in 6 colors: orange, red, yellow, blue, green, and purple. Each baby bear measures about 1" tall and has etched fur detailing on it. You also get a small paper insert with ideas for different activities such as using the bears for pattern making, addition and subtraction, estimating, sorting by colors, and counting. I love that there are so many uses for these as she grows and learns harder concepts. She really enjoys using these and doesn't even realize that she's learning. Unfortunately, our idea insert came glued to the inside of the tub and when I tried to gently remove it, I ended up ripping a part of it off.The bears are very well made and are made of hard, sturdy plastic. My only complaint about the bears is that the orange and the red bears are too similar in color shade and when we are trying to sort by color or are making a pattern, it becomes very difficult to tell the two colors apart. I wish instead of orange, the manufacturer would've chosen a color that was drastically different from the red and much easier to tell apart, such as pink or black.Overall, these are great learning tools and we have gotten a lot of use out of them so far!
