Are the bobbins metal or plastic? Is this model made in Switzerland?

This machine uses the plastic bobbins. It is not made in Switzerland, it is from Thailand. The Bernina company has designed this machine and keeps very good control over the quality of the machine. It sews great and is very dependable.

What are the measurements?

The width of the machine is 15 1/2". The depth is 6 3/4". It is 13" tall with the spool pins extended. The throat or harp space is 6 3/4" wide and 4 1/4" high. The total bed length is 9 3/4". Hope this helps with your question.
