Spanish moss turned up today, has been soaked for 1 hr, now drying out to then when ready to place from my hanging glass bowl

Spanish Moss air plant
Great plant, hung it up off the corner of my bathroom cabinet and it is already thriving. Saw this first a Kew Gardens, but this is a lot cheaper. Came with complete instructions and how to keep it.

If you do not keep this watered by spraying, it dies

Strong and healthy when received I spray it daily with rainwater and it’s doing well

Well packaged good info and instructions which were followed to the letter. I made a hanging piece of wood with the plants secured to it and fitted into my large walk in shower unit well away from soap splash or direct contact with spray head water etc. they were getting plenty moisture and occasional spray feed but one by one they dried up ,went black at the base and broke up. I would add that all my other house plants both in and out of the bathroom survive well and as ive been tending plants all my life i'm at a loss to work out what went wrong.
