Good reasonable spec PC, pretty easy to upgrade
Firstly I have bought Dell and HP PC's for decades. I pretty much always find that one of these will produce a decent machine for a reasonable price. This was £508 when I bought it, which is not cheap but not too bad for a 6 core processor with hyperthreading (sort of12 core processor). This machine comes with a 1TB standard hard drive which I replaced straight away with a 2.5" SSD which I already owned. This improved the performance instantly. If you are not able to upgrade this yourself I would look for a version with an SSD of at least 256GB, don't be tempted by a 128 you will regret it within months.I have also added a second stick of 8GB of Ram to booth this to 16GB.I use this with a 48" TV in my living room and found that the built in graphics card would not size correctly to my TV. I could not be bothered to investigate the cause as I had an ok graphics card from my previous machine. I simply installed this and fixed the issue. With these 3 upgrades the PC is running lovely for a living room PC. We mainly use it for office, youtube, netflix and amazon prime video. The machine itself comes with lots of useful kit built in including a USB 3, SD card reader, 1GB network port and WiFi.There is also a keyboard and mouse supplied, these are wired and basic. I already own a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse and use these.I have to say I am please so far.So would I recommend or buy again, yes on the provision you upgrade the primary drive to an SSD (which can be a 2.5" or an M.2) If not then no, using the standard drive really hobbles this PC. It ran like a dog before replacing the hard drive.

Excellent pc
This pc is really nice, easy to use and fast. I like it, but I have found that Windows 10 updates do confuse a lot of my programmes. Not the fault of the pc, though. It is light, compact and sits well under my desk. Lots of usb ports too.

SSD or not?
The PC works very well over my previous PC. Boots up quickly & files are loaded quickly. However, I wanted SSD as well as a HDD. The spec of the Dell 3881 with Dell themselves does say SSD is fitted. I'm not sure whether the Amazon supplied version does, without looking inside, which could invalidate the warranty.

Incredibly slow
I have held off writing a review for the Dell Inspiron 3881 Desktop as I don't like writing bad reviews, but this item has caused me so many lost hours of productivity I feel I must share my experience so that others can make a more informed decision.I thought initially that the slow response was due to the software or maybe our internet speed (which is slow as we live in a remote part of the UK) so I was forgiving of it's performance to start with. But as I use the same software and internet on my laptop and the same internet on my phone I can only blame the performance on this particular desktop. Whilst I prefer using a desktop for most actions such as preparing presentations/ reports etc I have resorted to using a dictionary (book format!) to check spellings as it takes so long to wait for a google check on the desktop, that looking it up in a book is quicker. I find that I can open and respond to most of my emails on my phone in the morning whilst waiting for the desktop to open Outlook. I can no longer sit down to do a few simple tasks on the desktop as it takes too long for it to function (this is not starting it from scratch but just trying to get it to respond when I have been away from it for 30 mins). If I try to look anything up my partner now says he will go and do it on his laptop as it will be so much quicker. I can honestly say that I hate this piece of equipment .. if early computers had been like this they would never have caught on. Update 3 months on: I have run so many diagnostics on this computer that tell me it is fine, I have downloaded up to date drivers, cleaned temporary files etc etc but still this is the slowest & most unreliable computer that I have owner since the 90s. I have had to turn work down as I cannot rely on it performing - even a zoom meeting is touch and go - it is the worst purchase I have ever made.

Fastest starter I've ever owned.
2+ years and still starting fast. Cannot fault this machine as it does everything I need. Plays games but I'm unsure as to what level as I'm not a gamester. I really like it and it is great value for money.

only good for the bare basics
Since buying this, I have found it is only good for the bare basics,, If you have more than one window tab open the computer lags, if you use it for more than 2 hours , it lags,, even trying to turn it off, takes a while for the off button to appear.. I think the main problem is the meagre ram it has,, which is only 8 GB. the average computer game,, requires 12 GB Ram,, so you can see how low this one comes with , so if you need to multi task, do not bother,, I have very few apps on here, have no games at all, and my Ram memory is already 95% full .. So think about the Ram before you buy this one,, now I have to buy some more memory to get this thing to even play a game .. oh and on the annoying side,, the on/off button is black and tiny and blends in so much , you can not see it to turn it on .. I had to put white tipex on mine .. UP DATE, now It can not even do windows up dates.. They want me to do a complete re install, This is truly the worst computer I have ever owned...
