Levi's Men's 527 Slim Boot Cut Jeans

Levi's 527s have a particular fit, so buyers know what they're getting when they pick this style. I've worn this cut of jeans for years and am glad to see they've remained consistent. Slim from the waist to the knee, then boot cut. Seat and thighs are snug. I ride so I buy long hems, which I'm glad to see are still an option. I purchased these for the cut and (hopefully) consistent sizing, and I wasn't let down. Thankfully the denim weight and finish were what I was looking for as well: reasonably heavy, and a dark rinse that wasn't chemically treated to look distressed. Thank you Levi's for keeping this formula.

You find the quality you expect from Levi's in these pants. I think denim in general is a little lighter in weight than it was some years ago, and these jeans are no exception; however, they are still good quality. I think that Levi's may have changed their sizing parameters slightly by comparison to perhaps 5 years ago, because the legs in these jeans are the same dimensions as a pair of 517s from about then. These jeans look good on my husband, are true to size, and I'll be buying more pairs.

By carefully reading the fabric content, verifying body measurements and precise description of each of the colors available, I am always able to avoid the complaints found in reviews by returning customers to Levi’s jeans: “THOSE MAJOR COMPLAINTS ARE MY JEANS STRETCH TOO MUCH, TOO LITTLE, THE FABRIC IS NOT AS TOUGH AS MY “OLD LEVI’S” WERE, THE FABRIC IS TOO THIN, EVERYTHING IS JUST CHEAP THESE DAYS AND I CAN’T GET MY STYLE ANYMORE....” Customers and Customer Service Representatives need to know the product they are selling and should be able to discuss it with the customer as if they made it or wear it themselves....They should be able to verify every measurement on that piece of Levi’s clothing (or any for that matter) as if they hang the garment in front of them and a tape measure at hand to make the associated measurements as the customer asked for them. Regarding fabrics, the customer reps should be familiar about fabric construction, enough to know that 100% cotton with one kind of weave technique for the denim is an entirely different than using a polyester cotton blend with spandex added for a close fit that will not stretch out of shape and slip down off your hips. Because most people are not familiar with fabric and fit anymore, customer representatives for the clothing industry must be the professionals with this knowledge and be the stylists and fitters for their customers. Many companies in the clothing industry could take lessons from the small J peters and company whose products concentrate on men’s and women’s clothing; when you called their staff for assistance on fit although the rep mean I have a piece of that clothing right in front of them they are able to call the warehouse and get exactly which measurements as well as any additional information you require. Very antiquated courses of home economics that the schools have done away with help now again become very relevant in our online communities. I knowledge of garment sewing and fabric Would greatly assist many customer representatives on the receiving end of those chat calls and telephone calls from customers as would the classes in cooking or wood shop or metal shop.

I like them, the denim looks good but feels a bit cheap. Good value for money I guess

I bought these pants for my husband and traditionally we are huge fans of Levis brand as they last and are really great quality. These particular pants that we received had a flaw on the denim near the back of the pant leg and is creating a bit of a hole. Also the leg length measures at 35 inches when it is listed as a 34. Also on the inseam, there is a flaw where the fabric was not tucked into the seam and is looking frayed. Maybe this was just a fluke pair, but these seem to be some big flaws. It is too bad too, since they actually fit my husband really well.

I like the fit ,looks,color,and the boot cut . Hard to find.

Great jeans be careful of the color you order, the colors are deceiving.

The fit was great. The look is great. The fabric ... not so great. These jeans lasted about two years and then developed holes in the thighs and knees after regular use. Where did the denim of my youth go?
