These are great! We have a pup who sees an open/cracked door as an invitation to run wildly through our neighborhood. And after many visitors coming and forgetting to close the door, these hinges were a must! They work great and I now have so much peace of mind knowing the door closes behind every person who enters it-keeping my pup safely inside!

I was relieved after receiving these hinges, that the holes line up perfectly with my metal door and frame, with threaded holes. For some reason, the hole center to center spacing on door hinges appear to be a well kept secret.Anyway, they are heavy duty, with thick metal, a nice finish, and a reasonable price.

These are nicely formed hinges, well finished, and were well packaged to protect from damage. However, be aware that there are two different standards of hole position for these hinges. These hinges have holes in a zig-zag pattern and the holes closest to the edge are 7/16" (.4375) from the edge. There are others available on Amazon that also have a zig-zag pattern, but the holes near the edge are 3/8" (.375) from the edge.I don't know who the genius was that came up with two different hole spacings that are just 1/16" different, but it really caused me a lot of problems when I attempted to use these (with 7/16" edge spacing) to replace the original hinges (that had 3/8" edge spacing).

We installed this on our basement door for grandchild visits. We couldn't find a gate that would work. We used one of these hinges on a three hinged door. Just enough tension to make sure the door closes every time. Closes the door automatically. No need to tell everyone to close the door! We feel confidant that the stairs are safe. When not needed we just use a door stop.

This spring-loaded door hinge fit perfectly as a replacement for a standard hinge with the same measurements. The company supplies a full set of both wood and machine screws which worked well in our set-up (metal door frame and heavy solid wood door). The spring tension is easy to adjust with the included hex-wrench and the instructions were clearly written. I would purchase these again should the need arise.

Identical to the previous hinges. had to replace because I cleaned paint off and they would not stop squealing.
