Pinsanity DNA Double Helix Enamel Lapel Pin

A quirkier addition to the wife's enamal pin assortment. She loves it.

I bought this to keep my pocket protector from falling out of my lab coat at work. It's a good size, sturdy. The only thing I didn't like about it at first was the rubber pin backs, they kept falling off when I first used them, but they seem to be holding on well now.

Well worth the cost. If your friends and family are into pins this is a great gift!

The DNA double helix is one of the icons of 20th century science. Sadly, a lot of designers still don't get the difference between a right- and a left-handed helix. DNA - like pretty much any screw or bolt - is a right handed helix. The helix represented by the pin is a left handed helix. If you want to show your science nerd credentials with this pin, you will fail.

First, this is a left-handed double helix, not the regular right-handed one within our body; Second, if you look from the top, red matches with green, pink matches with blue, then the third pair is red pairs with pink. Either of the above will make you look stupid if you choose to wear this.
