Dance effortlessly in our Canvas Dansneaker®. Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes. The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance. Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.

Lightweight and Flexible
I purchased these shoes for a line dancing class. I wore them 5 hrs. a week for one year, on a wood floor. I am 5'5" and 130 lbs. I bought size 7, which is my true size. They are lightweight, and the split sole is perfect, allowing for flexibility and foot articulation. I do not wear them in the parking lot, only on the dance floor. They would have lasted longer, but my bunion began to cause the fabric to split away from the sole. I have purchased a second pair because they are perfect for me. (I tried other brands, ended up returning them, and came back to these.)

Nice dance sneaker - true to size
This is just what I was looking for!. I wanted a shoe for jazz dance class that was a little more substantial and supportive than the Capezio slipper shoe. It is not slippery and I can make turns without my shoes getting stuck to the floor. The shoe fits true to size. I ordered two sizes, the size I normally wear and a larger size. My normal size is 8 1/2, and that size fits well. My foot is medium to narrow-medium width. I wear a thin sock with the shoe, and I still have room in the shoe.

Toe boxes!
The only dance sneaker with toe boxes. I wish you made them in wide. I love these for my old feet teaching pointe.

No se sabe si es para hombre o mujer
Estaba seguro que el anuncio decia calzado para hombre, pero al llegar el producto era para mujer y por lo tanto la talla no coincidio.

Great for line dancing
I needed dance shoes that I could use on a wood floor and not stick to the floor when making turns or pivots. The first day I wore them my arches were a little sore because I was not used to a split sole, but after that it was fine. I've worn them weekly for the past year and a half and they still look really good. I can't speak to the original insoles as I place my own inside.

Trust Capezio
Good fit, light shoe, even protects toe from partnering miscues! This is actually my second pair as first wore out. Worth the price!

Usado no nuevo
El producto se veía que era usado y no era nuevo. Pero me quede con el ya que mi hija lo necesitaba urgente y no podía esperar. Pero eso no se hace.

Great dance shoe for the price!
My wife loves these dance shoes! The size, quality, and durability can't be beat. She has used this brand for many years, only replacing the shoes when needed, as they hold up for years.
