Kinetic Sand Construction Site, Moldable Play Sand Sensory Toys, Ages 3+

This has been a huge hit with my son! He has been playing with it almost every day for about three months, and I’ve been extremely impressed with how durable it is. The pieces have held up very well despite getting a lot of play. It’s a great size for kids, provides plenty of hands-on play, and the construction theme makes the kinetic sand even more fun. Setup is simple, and there’s plenty included to keep him entertained and playing creatively. The quality is excellent for the price, and because it has gotten so much use, I think it would make a fantastic gift. Great play value, very durable, and something I would absolutely buy again!

My grandson loved it he is 7

I bought for an Autistic 5yr old boy! He loves it and so do his parents. They love that everything fits right back in the case. They take it everywhere for him. Great for any child, also perfect for children with sensory issues

This Kinetic Sand construction set is such a fun hands-on activity for kids. I got this for my youngest grandson who spends hours playing with kinetic sand and slime. We both really like the molds, vehicles and crane included with this set, giving him lots of ways to create his own construction site using his imagination. The sand has a great texture and sticks together nicely, making it easy to mold, shape and easy to clean up. The storage case doubling as a play area is especially convenient because it helps keep the sand and accessories contained and creates a lot less of a mess. This set is great for fine motor skills, creativity and sensory exploration as well. Upon opening, I didn’t realize the cardboard cover around the case doubled as the backdrop that goes inside the case and I ripped one end. After cutting it out, I was able to tape it back together and it works fine though. Also, the signs are just cardboard and don’t stand on their own. Have to stick them in sand to get them to stand up. All in all, this is a really fun set and would make a great gift.

5year old grandson loves this.

We purchased this for a birthday gift but received the same one for Christmas! Wow, I'm impressed. Love the sand and how it stays together. My little is having a great time! I purchased an extra 5 lbs of sand to fill it in a little more. Only added half for now. You won't be sorry! Clean up is a breeze

Might seem a little miserly to withhold the 4th star - but truly 3.5 is the most accurate assignation for this set. The first drawback is the price. At the time of this review it's $30. You can get a similar Kinetic Sand set for $17 and that seems a more accurate price for what you get. It seems like the $13 is added on because you get two colors of sand and the printed backdrop. I don't think that's a good value. The little equipment to use with the sand are all pretty flimsy and the little steam roller already broke. To be fair my kiddo was pushing down really hard. At the same time...it's meant to squish the sand and needed a lot of pressure. The crane thing is not meant to "do" anything, I guess it's just for ambiance?? AND I really don't understand a chainsaw shovel combo. Where does a chainsaw fall into road work/city building?? There's not even trees. A shovel with better hand ergonomics would've been amazing. Thankfully we have a bunch of sand toys that work a lot better than what came with the set. As some others have noted...the black dye or whatever they use is extremely transferrable. Your hands will be gray. I don't know. Maybe for a 3yr old this would work out. For a 6 year old it's just not there for the price. Oh yeah, the case. It's pretty cool but sand does leak out in places unless it's shut with the sand all into the middle or probably in the little "pits." My kid isn't that particular and so sand falls out. I honestly can't wait until this has lost it's novelty and I can dump it in with the bigger sand tub.

I love this stuff! Bought it for my sons birthday but I ended up playing with it for hours 😂

This kinetic sand is amazing. Purchased for 3 yr old grandson and this construction site play set keeps him entertained for hours. It's so fun to play with. Easy set up, easy clean up and doesn't dry out. Especially perfect for indoor play. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely buy again. Love it!
