good mild sweetness cookie
Was searching for a similar raisin cookies I remember from the 80s, these are not quite as good as those but Garibaldi are definitely still a decent and close replacement. In comparison these are 1) more cookie less filling, 2) more dry on par with a British biscuit, 3) cookie kinda bland but not in a bad way because I love a not overly sweet or sugary cookie. Basically this is as sweet as a raisin is with a slightly sweet cookie crunch. It tastes like a raisin not a true currant which are typically more tart, and they are really just sprinkled within the cookie not a filling layer, perfect amount. A bit pricey for the small package it is, bought the 2pk to try but the 12pk is definitely the best value that I'll buy in the future. I don't usually have this habit but because they aren't overly sweet it is definitely easy to eat the whole package in a sitting, only 10 small rectangles (slightly wider/thicker than a club cracker) in the 100g package (the stats are listed per cookie on front so that's x10!)

Love these cookies
I'm addicted to these cookies! They're not super sweet and I love the crunch. Somehow it feels a little healthier than a regular old cookie

Tasty but there are problems...
Excellent and just as I remember. But why can't the grocery store carry them? At Amazon, they are pricey and always broken into pieces when delivered.

Best company to purchase from.
I purchase Crawford's Garibaldies more often than I should, quite honestly. And, I have purchased from likely every dealer of this product. That said, this dealer of this product has the highest quality in every way, I have found. They have a more delicate crust, more filling, arrive in the shortest time frame, and always surpass other dealers in every way. They are always fresh. They break apart without shattering, leaving fewer crumbs scattered everywhere. Thank you for the highest quality of this product I've been able to find. Sincerely, Cecelia Latoof

Too Dry
Not like the originals I was use too. These are not soft at all! More of a Dry Texture. Maybe good for dunking in tea. Will not buy again. Sorry!

Delicious!
I used to love these when I was younger but canโt find them in the store anymore. Iโm so glad that you can find everything on Amazon! A taste for my childhood that brought back sweet memories!

I just can't recommend this to anyone.
If you grew up in North America, and reading this, you are probably looking for something similar to Sunshine's Golden Fruit Raisin Biscuits that was bought and then discontinued by Keebler in 2001. I have yet to find a cookie similar to that. Sunshine's cookie was made with a lot of raisins. Garibaldi Biscuits are known for being dry and only sparsely filled with currants. Garibaldi, are also, in general, less sweet. I tried the top 3 most popular versions on Amazon. Crawford's, a major UK brand of biscuits, as well as two store brands, Morrisons and Tesco. In a side by side comparison, I keep coming back to Tesco's as the best. It is slightly sweeter with a little more fruit than the rest. It's overall quite enjoyable and only slightly disappointing. Crawford's is the major manufacturer of Garibaldis, and is available in many U.S. supermarkets in their International Food section. They look right, but don't buy them. They are possibly the worst variation I have tried to date. They are barely sweet and always dry and bland with some currants, but nowhere near enough. I've bought them at British specialty stores, supermarket chains and even on Amazon until I learned my lesson. Morrison's isn't bad and takes second place. It's less toasty in color and flavor, is the sparsest on fruit and sweetness, but the underlying biscuit is in fact the tastiest of the three. If you don't want your Garibaldi sweet, this is definitely the one I'd recommend. Again, while I have now bought Tesco's variation more than once, it isn't Sunshine's Biscuit, but it's close enough until something better comes along or I learn to bake my own.
