I have been using an Amazon Basics scale that times out after 2 minutes. Great scale at a great price, but the time-out became very frustrating while brewing pour-over coffee. The Hero scale is faster, more accurate and has a longer time out with the ability to disable it altogether. Excellent!I also prefer to measure coffee grounds in grams and water in fluid ounces, and this scale does this well. Excellent!The scale also includes timers, both stopwatch and countdown. I prefer using the timer on the scale rather than my gooseneck kettle or phone. Excellent!Here's the complicated part: you can set the scale to begin timing automatically as you add water to the coffee grounds. Very nice idea. It works just as you would expect for the stopwatch timer, but surprisingly, does not seem to work with the countdown timer. It took me a while to sort this out, as I prefer the countdown timer. I must admit, it's not much to ask to push a button to start the timer. The main failure is the documentation, which I forgive. The writers clearly worked hard to provide simple instructions for multiple countries, but missed the mark on the automatic feature.The capacitive control buttons are very sleek, but my fingers don't always activate on the first press. That's a bother.Be aware that the scale is mostly plastic, but I find it attractive and usable.

This scale seemed like an extravagance, but now that I've got it -- why did I wait? VERY slim and low profile -- it doesn't clutter up my kitchen space anymore than the kettle, grinder, containers, etc already do! There is a rubber mat that comes with it that fits easily and securely on top that is a nice touch; easier to clean, things don't slide (the surface of the scale is glass). Not necessary to use, but nice to use. The timer and units are extremely intuitive. No need to read a booklet to figure out the combination of whatever to get what you want. An audible beep tells me its been a minute -- a nice touch that helps because yes, I get distracted in the kitchen. I don't stand and stare at the scale, LOL! This is a great, sleek, accurate, easy to use and keep clean product. Strongly recommend.

Ok, so why does it take like three seconds for the thing to "zero" or "tare" ... then it gets beeping and doesn't stop with its timer. The only good thing is it works pretty reliably, but the delay sometimes is nerve wracking and it doesn't just stick with grams. You have to change it and change it and change it and keep on changing the thing to grams if that's what you use.

I love this coffee scale. Trying to guess the amount of coffee for my French press was just becoming a waste of money. Sometimes I would put too little, and end up throwing away very watery coffee. Or other times I would put too much and it would be way too strong to even enjoy it.It seems very accurate from my uses so far. The display is brightly backlit, and very easy to read. I also like that you can charge it so you never run out of battery life. It looks modern, and much better than some of the scales that run into the $100+ range. Definitely recommend this one!

Cheap plastic made, scale should always level evenly at base to keep mug and pour over bloom stable. This scale base cured outward on left side, unable keep stabilize of its top. It didn’t count up or down while weighting beans at a single bean added or removed when I want precise at 0.1 to 0.5g up/down over 10g.This scale only weighting on fast movement not slow motion, believe this is software emulation scale not real scale as sensitive as 0.1g in its specification on website.

Auto timing reset is useless. As the button presses register weight, resetting the auto timer back to zero is impossible. It registers weight, thus starts count right away. Poorly designed and will require to turn off/on the unit.

Tested with my phone for 5 minutes and the timer on the scale read 5:17. That’s way too much off

Yo compré la versión en blanco, no sé si la versión en negro sufra de algunos de los detalles que voy a mencionar.Cosas buenas:* Diseño novedoso y estético, me atrevo a decir que parece premium.* Trae protector de silicon* Manual en inglés y cantonés.* El empaque es muy elegante.Cosas malas:* El diseño implementado no sirve para la balanza, cada que presionas un botón, ésta se "tambalea" haciendo que tome el peso de la presión ejercida, esto es relativamente molesto para cuando quieres activar el pesado automático para una v60 por ejemplo, el temporizador se activa con el simple hecho de presionar el botón para comenzar.* El display en mi caso estaba borroso al centro.* Mal calibrada, tengo una báscula Hario con la que estuve comparando pesos, y trae una diferencia de 0.3g, que se alarga mientras más peso añadimos.* En cuanto a calidad, se esforzaron mucho para darle una vista bastante premium, tiene buen peso, no se siente una báscula barata, pero si miras a detalle vas a notar algunas cosas como: rebabas plásticas, en mi caso por el color blanco, pareciera que pintaron la base con la tapa de acrílico de arriba puesta, pues se nota pintura en ella.Si quieren una báscula bonita, digital y a buen precio, esta puede ser su opción, pero si eres meticuloso y te gusta tener control y precisión en tus métodos de café, te recomiendo que inviertas un poco más en otra marca.
