NICKA K Vivid Matte Lipstick NMS07 Black

I bought the Vivid Matte Lipstick in Violet Red and of all the dark reds I've tried, this is my absolute FAVORITE. In color, it's a very dark, deep red with a bit of almost a brown. There is no orange--this is a blue-based red that's highly pigmented and dark. I've never seen any other brand come close to this shade. It's my favorite. It looks great alone or with a layer of gold, copper, or red gloss over it. Remember, though, this is lipstick. It's not that long-wearing paint that dries on your lips and lasts for hours. It's lipstick. It will smear. To set it, you may want to blot it once with a tissue, maybe dust with a hint of powder very lightly. If you want the staying power of a 12 hour lip color without reapplying, this may not be what you're looking for, however, I've never found this color in any of those, plus those feel like latex paint on the lips. I stick with lipstick, and the violet red is my fave.

Bought for Wicked for good movie. It was a hit. Easy to apply and long lasting. Many compliments.

The packaging is subtle and simple. The matte finish had scraped off in a few areas because it doesn’t come in a box, so before it was bagged at Amazon it likely got beat up. I appreciate that the packaging is color coded. There is a green stripe on the product. I wish more companies did that. When I first opened the lipstick, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It is slightly fruity, but not overwhelming. I enjoy the scent, even as someone who is sensitive to smells. It’s noy overly sweet, which I like. Also not too citrusy. Just very bright and fresh. When I first tried to apply the lipstick, it was dry and harsh. However, when I wiped off the tip, the underneath was smooth and soft. The lipstick comes with glitter on the tip, and I think that is why it was dry feeling. Once you wipe the glitter off it’s got a nice texture. I like the shape of the lipstick, it comes slightly concave curved which is good for larger lips. The color is also pretty accurate to the picture on this post. On its own, the lipstick is not transfer proof, full coverage, or long stay. I can understand the coverage being patchy because lips are the opposite color to it, but I still wish the lipstick was nicer. When I tried to layer the lipstick up more to get better coverage, it just got cakey. I also tried it with a primer, and it had the same results. Overall, I would not say this is a good lipstick. It is bad at the one thing it is supposed to do, which is be a lipstick. However because it is the only green lipstick I have found, and it is still better quality than seasonal Halloween store makeup (the worst), I will give it a 4/5 stars. It doesn’t have competition.

NICKA K Vivid Matte Lipstick NMS11 Sea Green offers good coverage and color. It doesn't dry out the lips and deposits a lot of green, instead of just providing a greenish tint like some other brands. It lasts a reasonable amount of time, and the tube is small enough to keep in a purse or pocket for touch-ups. It's a good value for its price.

Well Im ok with giving it a one star for the cool design of the container. I laughed and thought if ever I needed a tampon itd work temporarily until I could get one lol. Reminds me of the OB ones in shape. (See photo) Idk haha but anyhow the design is light weight and small so doesnt take up much space. My reasoning for avoiding the other 4 possible stars is because, first off, it is very costume like in quality. Reminds me of vampire lipstick quality from the Halloween store. Thick yet hard to apply evenly. (Notice line on side of color stick in photo) Once applied I put a light sparkly colored gloss over it for shine and for it to have more "spunk" even for a matte its very flat and boring. The main reason Im not happy about it is because I ordered the Violet Red. Although labeled as Violet Red, this is far from the color in the photo. Its far more red than violet. (See photo and compare to the photo on the item above) Im sad because I really wanted more violet than red but this color should be called Red then Violet. Ill keep it tho. The color is still decent and im sure with some gloss ill be alright with using it. However I have very pale skin and only go with these colors when im going to an event that I can get away with the Red tones. I was really hoping itd be the color in the photo for an event I have next month. But for 5 bucks I guess you get what you pay for.

The color was a bit duller than the reference photo. The pigment was sparse and it took multiple passes for the color to show which leaves a crusty look on the lips. The texture quality fades quickly. The lipstick is matte.

This shade is my absolute favorite! I've been in search of a matte specific lipstick for some time now and this company is awesome! It's definitely more on the bluer side of indigo which I don't mind at all. I almost wish my skin was slightly paler so that the color would pop even more, but being of olive complexion I have found this color to be awesome! Do a light matte foundation with a cat eye and some false lashes and let this lip color do the rest! I also purchased the Dark Scarlet that I do like, not really love. I was hoping for it be a little more matted and darker, but I'll definitely still wear it. I plan on getting the black on next. No irritation and stays on pretty much the whole day. And an A+ on the packaging!

Perfect !!!! I love this color . It looks dark but its not its matte. U can apply gloss after it. Love this color

The Colour is just amazing especially on my Dark skin tone,bought this last year for the first time due to the brand MAC running out of my usual colour,Bye Bye MAC I’m sticking to this.
