Awesome Lunch Containers!!!!
I truly love these containers. I cannot say enough good things about these containers and I plan on purchasing more in the near future. There are 5 containers with lids in this set as well as 3 freezy bars (ok so that is not really what they are called, but it works). The larger one has two little containers (without lids) inside of it. One is the perfect size for a sandwich made with loaf bread. The other is more of a rectangle and would be good for some potato chips, fruit, or veggies (small salad to go with the sandwich maybe). (It would be possible for liquids to leak over and get on top of your sandwich though, so I would put dry items in it only - unless you like a slightly soggy sandwich). You could also use it for a salad and just keep parts of the salad separate until you want to put them together.) There are 2 rectangle containers with lids. These would be perfect for things like fruit salad, wet fruits such as strawberries, watermelon, etc). You could also use these for things like mac and cheese. There are two tiny little square containers. These are mostly for things like salad dressing and other condiments. I even put mustard and ketchup in them. That way you can wait until you are ready to eat your sandwich before you put the condiments on (will help keep the bread from getting soggy). These could also be handy for toddler size snacks such as raisins. The frezzy bars are sturdy and are designed for the lunch containers to fit down inside them, thus providing more cooling to the items in the containers. I really like this set. The only possible drawback is that the lids fit very snuggly. In most cases this is not a drawback at all (so I did not take a star away). However, schools often expect children to be able to open their lunches themselves. I think this would prove hard for many of the really young ones. However, on the upside of that...it would stand up to them flinging their lunchbox up and down while walking down the hall!

LOVE this kit!
I recently purchased this along with the salad kit and lunch bag. I have to say I really love this set! I have Celiac's which makes eating out difficult and dangerous, so I wanted to have a convenient way to make and carry most of my meals. All the containers are pretty perfect size wise unless you want really large portions. The largest container is great for the main of your meal, while the smaller ones are perfect for sides/veggies/fruits/dessert. Note that the containers within the large rectangular one are just separators, not sealed containers. It's likely that they can mix/spill, so use the smaller containers for sauces/anything you don't want to mix. The ice packs are nice and work well with the lego style stacking. I purchased the large lunch bag, which fits the entree kit with lots of room to spare. As I said, I use this in conjunction with the salad kit which both fit in the bag with room for silverware and a banana. Hope this helps :)

Entrée Kit
As stated with my comments with the "Lunch Blox" bag, this accessory works very well with the bag. Since I am on a low sodium diet I must carry my meals to campus and other places. The freezer blocks do a great job of keeping food cool even for the time between lunch and dinner in my campus office environment. The large bottom container is where I keep grapes and apple slices for my trip home in the car in the evening (after 9 P.M. after arriving for my first class at noon). The fruit is still cool even that late. The other smaller boxes hold an adequate amount of food items for a noon lunch (often soup carried separately). A sandwhich can still fit above the boxes in the bag. I am expecting that the freezer blocks will keep my food cooled adequately when I carry meals to my grandson's baseball games this spring and summer. I also have room above the containers for a salt substitute shaker and a Mrs. Dash seasoning shaker. The two are excellent co-products and are well designed with the inter- locking fo the containers along with the freezer blocks. The smaller containers do not always lock to the freezer blocks tightly, but they stay in position in the bag satisfactorally.

Fantastic system! Much too organized for me.
I got a couple of these entree kits, a couple of salad kits, a couple sandwich kits and a lot of the little one and two square containers. I had big ambitions of organizing my life one lunch at a time. And the system works very well when I use it. Everything interlocks, the freezer blox work great and, honestly, it's a very well designed system. The containers can go in the dishwasher (even the lids!) and handle trips through the freezer and microwave as well as the fridge. The thing that kept it from getting five stars though was the fact that, with all these little pieces and parts, it takes up a LOT of shelf space. And because the sides are not as tapered as some other plastic storage containers (to enable that great interlocking feature,) they don't stack as well as other food storage containers and take up more space. I don't have a lot of space in my kitchen, so I've had to put them all in a box outside the kitchen. The system itself works well, just consider the storage space you'll need before buying lots of Lunch Blox like I did.

It's hard to believe how good these are.
I was looking for a better way to bring my lunch to work, so I bought the LunchBlox entree set along with a LunchBlox lunch bag. At first, I brought a cold lunch & snacks to work, to test out the basic quality of the stuff. And sure enough, it kept my lunch cold until lunchtime (six hours after I packed it)! Not only that, but they didn't spill a drop! (Granted, I wasn't tossing it around, but I wasn't being careful, either.) So the next day, I tried a hot meal. Would I pull a blistered, warped piece of plastic out of the microwave by the time my food was warm? Nope! My food got sizzling hot, but the plastic held up. But what about cutting up my food? Would the utensils scratch the plastic? And the answer, sadly, is "yes." Not much, but a bit. And I was using plastic utensils! Still, for the price, these are amazing. They store plenty of food for a workday, they keep it cold (when paired with a suitable lunch bag), they do great in the microwave and dishwasher, and to top it off, they all fit nicely and securely together for travel. Nice job, Rubbermaid! I'm going to buy a few more of these so I can prepare meals on the weekend and then just grab-and-go during the week. Added a couple of days later: Watch out with putting these in the dishwasher. On the normal wash setting, my entree containers warped beyond usability. Very, very disappointing!

So fun to use. Perfectly sized for meals & snacks.
I first bought the lunch-sized container kits and then quickly bought both the salad kit and this kit. I ended up buy two of each kit plus a 2-pack of the small containers. I love how they snap together, come with blue ice packs, and help me organize my meals. The sizes are perfect for snacks, sides, my salads and meals. I have to pack both my lunch and dinner along with all my snacks most every day. I think these containers are pretty fun. I never had Lego blocks and that is sort of what these are, but for food. I also found that you can put the salad kit tray in the sandwich lunch sized container to split it up and if you need more room in the salad container. I also love the little salad dressing container that came with the salad kit, but is sort of scary trying to peal off the lid. I am always concerned that I will end up dumping it all over myself. I did pickup some of the spill-proof containers that Rubbermaid makes just for things that are likely to leak. These green containers work well for my normal meals and snacks. I've ordered enough that I can pack my boyfriend's lunch/meals as well. Seems like this entree container is just a sandwhich lunch size with an attached side container. Works great. Can't say anything bad about them. Just love that I have new blue ice cold packs. May not hold up as long as some of the other Rubbermaid products, but they didn't cost as much. I hand wash all my plastic wear and do not run them through the dishwasher or the microwave. I expect that they will last a long time. Update: (5/5/2019) Of the three-sized meal containers, this is my least favorite as they can't stack due to the divider. The others (salad and sandwich) will stack together, but this one can only be on the bottom. I love the blue ice and little containers that came with it. I have two of this size and used them every week. It just would be better if it had a removable tray that fit in the same space instead of a solid divider. I bought ten kits total. Five salad, two entree and three lunch. The main compartment of the entree is the same size as the lunch and the side compartment of the entire is the same size as the 1.2 cup container.

so far, so good! just what i expected
Let me start off by saying that I JUST got this today, and it has not been put to use yet. And once I do put it to use for awhile, I'll definitely be updating my review. But at first glance, you know how it is when you order online - especially when you haven't seen the product in stores - you never really know if you're getting what it appears to be in the picture. In this case, it looks great! It's exactly what I expected. I saw the Rubbermaid Lunch Blox Sandwich Kit at Safeway about a week ago and almost grabbed it, because I desperately need some dedicated lunch tupperware. But at $13.99, it looked kind of small, and I figured I could almost definitely find it cheaper elsewhere. I saw this Entree Kit here on Amazon instead, and thought it looked perfect - about 50% larger than the Sandwich Kit, which should work great for me as I need to be able to take both lunch and a few snacks with me in my 10-hour day. I like the larger main entree area, as more often than not, I take dinner leftovers the next day, and sometimes fitting them into a little sandwich square just doesn't work. The bottom area also has a larger and smaller inner insert, so you can keep things separate, or take them out and use it as a one large area. Then you have 2 ice blocks, 1 square and 1 rectangle, which are a nice addition and a good idea on Rubbermaid's part to include this. On top of that, 2 rectangular containers and 2 small containers. The small containers will be perfect for dressing, hummus, or salsa, while the retangular ones will be perfect for carrot sticks, celery, sliced peppers, chips, etc. My energy drains if I don't have small snacks throughout the day and I think these will work perfect! I'm really excited to get rid of all the plastic baggies that I used to throw away, give myself enough food to get through my day, and hopefully eat a little healthier as well. My containers snap together very well out of the package, so hopefully that keeps up with use. I like that these are expandable as well, if I want to buy another kit or a few separate pieces.

These are very nice. The lids fit snug and they have a small tab in one corner to assist pulling the lids off. Once the lids are removed they can be put under the container and they lock on to the top of the lid. The only one that doesn't seem to work like that is the small square containers even though they look like they should. No big deal killer. The containers also lock to the ice blocks. Another plus when packing in a Lunch Box/ Bag. This set fits perfectly in Rubbermaid's Lunch Bag., Medium size. The one I bought with this set was Item # 1813501. They are easy to wash. I drive truck and everything stays cold for hours. Bought extra sets as backups.

Perfect for kids
These have been just perfect for my kids' lunches. We were previously using Glasslock containers, which have more capacity, but are also very heavy for little ones to carry around. Plus, no devastating consequences if these get dropped, and they're cheap enough to replace when the kids inevitably lose parts. I am not sure whether the square insert in the large container would fit a full-sized sandwich, but my kids normally eat dinner leftovers for lunch, so this is not a concern for us. The set has more than enough containers and capacity for the amount of food required for their 8-hour day (breakfast, lunch and snack). The lids are easy for my 4-year-old to take on and off by himself. Containers nest on top of one another, though don't always "click." We've had them for a couple of months and they are holding up well, including washing in the dishwasher (top rack). Overall, given the inexpensive price, they're a five-star purchase.

Highly recommend. Perfect for school lunches
Love this set. Soooo good for my lil ones lunch box. His nursery gets really hot so the ice packs are perfect. They are still cold when I pick him up in the evening. Boxes are easy for him to open (he is 2 and half) and they are great for the teachers as they can be microwaved. So no need to fiddle around with his hot food. Highly recommend.

Easy to open
These are so handy! Easy to open, spill proof , and fit perfectly inside the lunchblox lunch bag, with plenty of room left for juice boxes and an apple or other fruit. The larger one on the bottom has a divider, perfect for a sandwich and fruit.
