Worth Buying!
I bought this game two years ago, and I have to say I've gotten a wii especially for this game. It's too bad it didn't come for xbox 360, but speaking from all of the terrible games that are for the wii, this would probably have to be the best one. Even the new super mario brothers was a bit childish. If you were a fan of Manhunt 1, hands down you will enjoy this game. The shooting parts are kind of difficult. I haven't been able to complete it as of yet, but that's because it is also a true challenge. It is still very enjoyable though. It makes you want to keep playing. The graphics and gameplay have greatly improved over the first one. In the beginning, you're needing to escape from the mental hospital and I think that setting is perfect and 'scary' enough in itself. When you're gone, you continue to go through a series of episodes that take place in various settings. Basically, to move on you need to complete your goal (which is basically getting as far as you need to, and killing all of those who need to be killed). What I would suggest though is to try the first one (I've bought the first manhunt for pc originally. Plays really well.), and then go out and try this game. You will love it. It is very adult oriented (I think I've learned the word 'deviant' from the Sexual Deviants mission, haha) but overall I think it is a very good play. Very worth it for the price you can get it at now.

This isn't the watered down console disappointment we got at launch.
Visceral, barbaric, unapologetically gory and dark. This is sums up Manhunt 2 in it's purest form on the pc. This isn't the watered down console disappointment we got at launch. No filter, no nothing. You get to see everything. Before I get further into the review, it seems only fitting as to give some history behind Manhunt 2. Manhunt 2 has always been under heavy fire from media groups/critics due to it's senseless violence and dark subject matter. Suggesting the content was far too brutal for public viewing like it's predecessor and demanded it to banned from stores. Some stores even hopped on the bandwagon and removed the game from sell under fear of getting heated response from said groups. Amazon was guilty of it. This, accompanied with the fact the uncensored version left the game with an ESRB rating of AO (Adults Only). It would be an extremely tough sell on consoles and in other countries that had strict censorship laws. So in order for the game to have a chance in this regard, Rockstar was left with no choice but to tune down the visuals to get an M rating. And what we got at the time was a watered down disappointment of a sequel. Now that the flames had died off, the uncensored version is back in full swing. Allowing people to play the game as intended. For those who never played a Manhunt game. Here is how it goes in a nutshell: The game is mostly stealth based, the exception being some occasional gunplay and scripted fist fights. You're going to sneak around in the levels to get the jump on enemies. Often hiding in shadows and using lures and loud noises to distract enemies. Since going toe to toe is typically risky. What you do instead is sneak up on enemies and perform stealth kills called executions with various weapons found in the levels. Depending how charged up your attack is, the more gruesome your kill will be. In Manhunt 2's case, the gameplay is more interactive than before because you get to initiate the execution yourself. As an execution starts, you'll be required to do certain movements of the mouse to simulate hand movement. Like quickly shoving the mouse forward or side to side to cut and slice someone with a shard of glass. Screw up, you'll fail the execution and you'll leave yourself open to attack. It's a simple mechanic, but it makes the gameplay more immersive. Other examples are to steady your breathing in the shadows to evade detection by enemies. Screw up and the enemies will pull you away from your hiding spot and start whaling on you. In terms of visuals, the textures aren't as blurred and there's some nice little bells and whistles going on. As you kill more and more, your character with start to become soaked in blood from head to toe. The damage done to your enemies is also more noticeable. If you gouge someone's eye out or cut someone's throat, your enemy will have an empty eye socket or blood will spurt out of their neck like a fountain. It can be pretty vicious to watch. The story is good and quite creepy at times, but nothing I'd consider noteworthy. It's works to establish the game's dark theme and locations. While it's a good solid port and game, there were a few minor gripes I had. First was with the lack of control configuration options. You have a selection of different setups to pick from, but you can't assign keys manually plus no official controller support. It wasn't a big deal, but this game is from 2008. Extensive control configuration was already an industry standard. The gunplay is okay, but feels a bit out of place in my opinion. I get that they were trying to mix things up, but it could've been done better. Manhunt 2 doesn't feel like the kind of game that should have actiony shootouts in it. At least it's partially made up for by being able to perform executions with guns. Sadly, there isn't much in terms of replayablity either. Once you see everything the game has to offer. It may be a long while before you'll want to come back to it. But it's a fun ride while it lasts. Overall, if you're looking for a good ole time with stealth and gore. Manhunt 2 will scratch that itch indefinitely. From start to finish this game relishes in it's brutally gory dark themes and it's quite enjoyable while it lasts. Themes that are definitely not recommended for a younger audience by any means. This game is for adults only for a reason. Also, take caution when buying this game on newer systems. I had some struggle to get it working on Windows 8.

How to get Manhunt 2 to work on windows 10!!
This game is a classic!!! I purchased this game knowing I probably wouldn't get it to work on windows 10 but I did and want others with windows 10 who would love to have this game know how to get it to work. So I will tell them. 1). After you get the game installed on your computer you are going to right click on the shortcut for the game on your desktop. 2). Then you are going to click on "open file location". 3). After that you are going to right click on the main application of the game (and it should already be highlighted) and select "Troubleshoot Compatibility" 4). Then it is going to scan for problems and come up with 2 different choices, one is going to be "try recommended settings" and the other is "troubleshoot program". You are going to click on "try recommended settings". 5). After you click on that it will ask you to test the program in a windows vista compatibility mode and just click on the "test the program" button and the game should boot right up (at least it did for me and I am doing it again for the second time as I'm typing this). 6). After you exit your working manhunt 2 game just click the "next" button on the troubleshooter and it will ask you if you want to keep the settings for the program so the next time you try to run the program it will run smoothly or if it didn't work for you you can try a different setting. Just click "save these settings for this program" and the next page will tell you everything it fixed and just close the troubleshooter. And now your PC copy of the AO (Adult Only) version of Manhunt 2 should now be working smoothly for your windows 10 software whenever you click to start it. Hope this helped most of you reading this. Enjoy!

Game Intelligently
Despite not aging well since being an early Wii game and a generally old PC game, the graphics could use a bit of work compared with the advancements Rockstar has made between the first Manhunt and it's sequel. Shadows leave a lot to be desired, but why are you nitpicking for graphics in a game that was made for a non graphics-heavy system? Animations are pretty stiff and pretty odd with the idio-synchronous camera having fits while you're trying to look skyward, and the silly cover mechanic is ludicrous in the midst of a generally stealth-based game. The controls are a tad janky, seeing as the developers probably had gamepads in use/mind. Blocking isn't as useful as it should be for multi-target combat, and is a general waste mano-a-mano. Some of the primary attacks are pretty outlandish, the "don't move the mouse" quick-time event is ridiculous and hyper-sensitive to the gentlest breeze over the mouse, and the artificial intelligence is dim-witted and rather predictable. The story has a few holes, but as it stands is mostly comprehendable to someone not familiar with the Manhunt series. The execution system in this game is viceral, brutal, and in most cases pretty unnerving. The fact that it's uncensored for the PC edition should be a CLEAR indicator that this game is NOT to be neither taken heavily nor played by anyone who does not have a fully developed frontal lobe. Critical thinking skills come in handy, as well as a somewhat twisted sense of humor. On its own, this game is worth a once-over every now and again to stave off the ol' rage dwelling within, but as stated before, is NOT meant to be played by youngins NOR taken without a grain of salt. Don't let bad graphics and somewhat poor gameplay ruin your "ideal" game!

This is a game I recommend for horror fans this game takes the rated M version of this game and throws it in the trash, to all those who are Windows 8 users it can work on your operating system it doesn't work for Windows 10 I think. But this game blows the censored version away I don't even believe that Amazon sells this game for PC when it is rated AO I really recommend this game to you horror fans out there it has a great story line and the fact that all of the execution kills you do aren't censored all of the executions are in there unlike the M version where it is censored and Rockstar removed some of the kills.

Very Good. The guy in the review who says this isn't the uncensored. All you have to do is in the Properties once you finish installing the game and setting it to capability mode because I'm playing it on windows 8, you head to properties and where it says target click to the end and put this in (first press space then put -stereo) this will get rid of the red filter an then there you go that's it. Also if your still confused just go to YouTube and type how to get rid of red filter. Other then that this is the AO version.

This is just not cool.
As you may notice, this is the AO version (Adults Only). Yes, quite exciting for many of us fan boys of this franchise. This version is a big deal because it is uncensored. Giving the consumer the chance to play this game as it was meant to be played through. Truly, very exciting. Great price too. Unfortunately, I know for a fact that it is very difficult to get this version of Manhunt 2 (Manhunt 2 AO). Not only did Rockstar make Manhunt 2 AO version only for PC, but also only for Windows XP/Windows Vista. Now, you may be thinking "Oh, I'll just run this game in Compatibility mode since I'm running a more up to date OS." Well, sadly that might not be the case. Doing some research I've found out that some Window 7/Window 8 users were able to simply "run the game with no problem" while others were sitting dumbfounded questing for a patch or a crack version of this game. Some people gave up entirely while others simply wish they just torrent the damn thing instead of spending money. I've run into this issue with many games, always was able to fix it through google search. Some how, nobody talks about this game so simple errors like "Manhunt2.exe has stopped working" can not be fixed. In fact, you'll have multiple 'Manhunt" results if you search "Manhunt 2 windows 7 fix", but none will be for Manhunt 2. Yep, this means that Manhunt 1 (the first Manhunt game) will be the only thing showing up in your google seach if you're looking for any fixes. I'm giving this one star for one reason- you say this is for windows xp and windows vista. Yet, when I run compatible mode, Manhunt2.exe still stops working. I don't even know what the title screen/menu screen looks like. I'm very disappointed and I discourage anyone from taking the 50/50 chance that your pc may run the excellent game. I also like to mention that Rockstar games do this very often. The company puts out their games on steam/gamersgate/gamefly and they don't at least try to resolve issues. One could easily state that it runs only on certain OS, and if that's the case, then why do other people run the game just fine. Makes no sense.
