The player plays Blu Ray disks of all the three regions (A, B, C). However, it is important to choose the region while the disk tray is open and close the tray only after that. For example, (1) open the tray; (2) insert or replace disk; (3) while the tray is open, press the yellow button on the remote for Region A, blue for Region B, or red for Region C; and (4) close the tray. The player plays DVDs of all regions (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) automatically.

I am sure the Sony product is fine. However, I had to return the item as the supplier wrongly described the product. The power adapter only works with 120 volts/60 Hz. To get the correct Sony adapter is expensive and is required to be compliant with the warranty.

Great product

This is a great regions free Blu-ray player. It plays all my DVDs many purchased in other regions.

With some apprehension , I bought this product. Bluray of Region B is supported in this player. However, selection of Blu ray region could have been made easier instead of remembering to press the right button. With so much technical advance, it would have been nice had Bluray region code is automatically selected like that of DVDs. Otherwise, it lives up to the reputation of Sony Brand name. For spending such a big amount, can't we expect easy to operate player ? Audio and Video qualities are very good. Overall, satisfied to have bought this product.
