This is a great product and it works very well for the specific purpose of preventing an ankle roll without impeding the natural biomechanics of my ankle, foot, lower and upper legs during my normal walking and daily activities! I bought it because I have weakness in my right ankle area from repeated rolling and an actual fracture in the right ankle as a direct result of a rather minor ankle roll. Additionally, I have MS, which more than occasionally presents challenges to my walking abilities and stability. I like to consider myself an active person, despite my illness, and I like to do as much as I can, when I can, and the Ankle Roll Guard, unlike splints, wraps, braces and other ankle stabilizing products, of which I have tried many, allows me to do that and has given me more confidence and ability to stay more active and maintain my ability to walk without uncomfortably interfering with the function of my legs and feet like all of the other products that I have tried. Because of this, sometimes, using some of these other products even makes my back sore! It’s all interconnected and you can’t change one thing without affecting another! Wearing an ankle brace hurts me sometimes and the splints wreck my shoes and prevent my ankle from moving normally. For me, the Ankle Roll Guard eliminates all of these problems, safely and cost effectively. I have been wearing it 100% of the time since I ordered it in May 2018, after yet another fall from an unpredictable ankle roll and it has worked magnificently. I have walked on it extensively in my home, on the beach, while doing yardwork, hiking on even and uneven terrain, walking in the city, and have even ridden my bike with it, and for the most part, I don’t even notice that I have it on. I think it’s great that I can wear it 100% of the time because I can’t imagine wearing my ankle splints or braces any longer than the time that I absolutely have to while the injury heals. In fact, my doctors and physical therapists have only recommended the splints and braces for short durations while healing. The Ankle Roll Guard now is my tool for healing and more importantly prevention of future damaging ankle rolls and falls!

Tried this with 3 different pairs of shoes and the strap coming up from the bottom is way too short and will not reach to secure to the device. Total disappointment. Returning immediately.

I have a bone disease and laxed joints. My ankles will roll without warning causing me to lose balance—invariably causing injury. After searching for years for the right ankle support, I found these and decided to take a chance.Best decision! Best product to prevent ankle rolls! I do not care if they look a bit odd, my safety is #1.Positives: They work! I finally feel safe and protected from ankle roll injury. Also, once they are on, you forget about them. They do not interfere with walking at all. I do not walk without them! They adapt to most shoes.Negatives: They take patience to learn how to put them on, and I have limited mobility. I have small feet, size 5.5, they are made for slightly bigger feet, BUT, they are easily adjustable!I can not overstate how well this product works! If you have weak ankles that roll out, these are for you!

It works fairly well and there isn't a bunch of options for this kind of need so I appreciate that it exists but it's a little difficult to adjust it to work just right. If I wear it all day it makes the outside of my foot pretty sore but it beats rolling my ankle repeatedly.

I had a stoke a few months ago and my right ankle rolls severely to the outside when I take a step. After looking at the multitude of bracing devices available, I decided this one made the sense, logically, to help me resolve this annoying issue.I prefer not to bind or brace the ankle rigidly since it is my hope that it will regain strength sooner without physically bracing it. As for the size, I wear a men's size 10 shoe and the ankle support fits quite well. Due to my lack of adequate use of my right hand, I did require assistance to get it adjusted to fit properly.My particular situation with ankle "roll" was that the rolling action was most pronounced towards the outside and backward towards the heel of my foot. This occurred regardless of the type of walker I was using or the surface up which I was walking.The Armor1 Ankle Roll Guard has virtually eliminated this. I intend to have a more durable retainer strap strap for the sole made to replace the original. My thought is to have it made of leather or kevlar.It appears, from some of the other reviews, that not everyone had the same experience with their purchase that I had with mine. I plan to purchase an additional Ankle Roll Guard to use on the shoes I wear outside so I can leave one attached to the slippers I wear while I am inside. I walk as much as possible while I am inside in the hope that I will regain enough strength and balance to be less dependent on a walker for every few steps I take while in the house.Michael (75 years young)
