SUPER EASY - Most satisfying purchase on Amazon. - UPDATED 5.5 MOTHS LATER
One of the most satisfying purchases I've made on Amazon. I installed this on my 2002 Dodge Caravan SE in less then 2 minutes and it works great - no noise and sound is crisp and clear.Highly recommended and pretty good quality. The yellow wire needs to connect to a constant 12v source so I just connected it to the cigarette lighter and closed everything up. Super simple installation, the only tools I needed was a screwdriver to remove my radio and plug in the device - pretty straight forward.JULY 12, 2016 - UPDATE: Still working like new.. however, the tip of the 3.5mm jack at some point was bent and I can see it easily breaking if stressed any further. This might of happened due to the cable (jack plug) being yanked when I dropped my phone or removed it without making sure the jack was completely out (obviously operator error / my fault).Soon after installing this people in the back seat wanted to use it so I bought an Male to Male 3.5 AUX cable and a Stereo Female to Female Coupler to extend the cable (of course you can always just get a 3.5mm male to female extension).I later began to use a power inverter (plugged directly to battery) to charge my electronics and if the cable happens to rest on the inverter while it's on it picks up interference and can cause a buzzing/humming noise.. this can be remedied pretty simply by just moving the cable away from the inverter at least 6 inches. NOTE: This may happen because of the AUX Cable / Coupler setup I have exposes the connectors leaving them uninsulated at the connection points.Unlike other similar devices, I have not heard any interference from other electronics like cellphones or radios causing noises.*** Overall, after using this pretty much everyday for 5.5 months.. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to anyone who can handle taking their radio out of the dash and connecting the power.

Works well, easy to install [Updated]
Great sound quality! I am running into issues though, as my 2004 PT Cruiser's Anti Theft system is not too happy, since I installed the Stereo Aux System using a fuse in the internal fuse box. Best I can figure the PT thinks something is trying to tamper with it, causing it to shut off the engine. But I can't blame the Aux system.[Update] It appears the problem has fixed itself, I'm going to guess the voltage difference was tripping the Anti Theft system after driving to work today everything works as it should. If others have issues like I did try disconnecting the battery and let your cars Computer reset with the AUX System installed.

Died after two weeks.
Worked fine for about two weeks. Then it died, roughly the same day my amazon return window closed. Kinda bummed because it wasn't exactly cheap, but I'll live. I guess I'll see if there's a manufacturer's warranty on it, but I doubt it. Don't get a cheap one. You're probably better off just replacing the head unit on the car instead of using one of these because they seem iffy.

2005 Dodge RAM 1500 RBKS stereo application
2005 Dodge RAM. Installed it yesterday. Took about 20 minutes and basic tools. Undo one screw from the panel, pop panel open, undo stereo 4 screws, pull stereo out, plug device in, connect long 12V to battery (+). Put everything back together, drill hole for audio cable in the storage shelf cover and feed it out. Done.Thing actually, from what I could tell yesterday, works just fine. I am not sure yet, if it's the adapter that cuts off treble some, or it's my phone settings, I'll play with it. Otherwise, works well. I tested factory stereo, it's Chrysler RBKS code stereo with Cd changer control output, and found it to have very good sound, that's why I opted to stay with it instead of replacing entire unit.About the only inconvenience is to control music from phone, not from steering wheel but it's quite Ok. No big deal.Reason I gave this 4 stars is short 12V pigtail and I am not sure, why actually it needs to be on continuous 12V, when allegedly there is factory stereo 12V right there in the plug. Said to be grey/red wire, but there are 2 of them so, instead of guessing, I simply ran wire to battery. Easy do in a truck.I left adapter box behind the stereo, plenty of empty space there.

it works fine. Audio quality is good
Pros:- As an alternative to FM transmitter or cassette adapter, it works fine. Audio quality is good.Cons:- Too short power lead, as indicated by others. Also no reason it should need connected to constant-on power.- Delicate wiring. Not sure why, but 24 gauge seems a tad bit thin.- Noise. Yes, noise on the AM side. The unit generates a buzz that is readily picked up when you tune in to AM radio stations. For us talk radio folk, that's very annoying ... and unacceptable. Doesn't seem to matter where the unit is located (mine is tucked a foot away from my head unit), the buzz persists.Overall:If you just want to plug directly into your system with a phone, MP3 player, or tablet, this will work fine.As an aside, I had also purchased a Bluetooth adapter product from Wiki-tech with many of the same issues. Internally generated noise seems an engineering oversight.

Great
Great thing.... Simle in installation. Works perfectly for a few month already. No complaints at all. Great price compatible to other brands. Sound exactly as from cd( the sound itself not good, but It's because of system itself). It's much easier then cd's and other things. I've tried Bluetooth radio transmitter. Now it's just plug and play, in my dodge caravan 2005. Edit: so it's 3 years and still works as it used to. The only thing I've got the extender and no problem with it.
