Can i listen to airband comm with your airnav radarbox flightstick vhf on a windows pc -without- an internet connection?

I think the answer is no. There is a download for a 'legacy' standalone application installation, that might work without internet. But It seems they want you to use an app (phone or ipad) or a website interface.

Is this a rtl sdr with a 118-136mhz filter and amplifier or something more than that? will it work with gnuradio & rtlsdr-airband?

Hi, This receiver has an RF amplifier and a filter that is designed for the aircraft band. That makes this receiver preform better as an aircraft communications receiver. with less susceptibility to interference from strong signals outside the band. It is, otherwise, a generic rtf-sdr radio and should work with any software that the generic receivers work with. Don't know if there are any special considerations for setting the gain, as there is an added RF pre-amplifier in this radio.
