MIHEY Tornadoes in A Bottle

Work great and made the tornadoes so much easier to do as a class then trying to use a washer and duct tape!! I’ll be purchasing these for my class again. So much fun to take home after class too.

These were perfect for my daughter’s science themed birthday party. I had read that the tubes really only worked with 2 liter bottles and would leak with smaller bottles but I was able to use 16 & 20oz bottles by wrapping the bottle top threads in Teflon tape before screwing on the tornado tube to each one. No leaks!!

I bought it for a STEM Camp, and it was great. But one came broken. It serves its purpose, but sometimes leaks

I use these to make tornados in my classroom. They’re cheap, so I buy the bulk and make new when necessary. The kids love the tornados!

These don’t work on small water bottles. It worked on a 2-liter bottle but I bought 16 oz. water bottles for my students and they were too small. I’m disappointed the instructions didn’t say they were universal in fit.

This was my favorite experiment for science class. There is something so amazing at seeing the VORTEX spin and spin! I even keep it up year round in my homeschool library.

These make building tornadoes easy. My kids love making their own tornadoes adding in glitter, food coloring and random small objects. Be warned the hole between the bottles is small so be careful for clogs.

"Resold" these for 8 year old's economic's fair. Sold out instantly. KEY POINT: They do leak so wrap bottles with Teflon tape and remove seal ring from bottle. Simple fix for the price point.
