The Aircast stabilair wrist support brace is a lightweight, water resistant brace designed for the treatment of post-operative distal radius fractures. Engineered with dual, ventilated shells the Aircast stabilair provides an alternative solution for short-arm casting. The adjustable anatomic shells and air cells conform to your arm, providing a customized fit. The air cells are integrated into the dorsal shell for support and comfort: one over the distal radius, and another inside the perimeter of the dorsal shell. The perimeter air cell is inflated using a specialized hand bulb, which is included. Moisture wicking material lines the volar pad to further improve comfort and promote breathability. Easy to use, the Aircast stabilair wrist support brace can be applied quickly and effortlessly. Review: I find the air cast way more comfortable than my fiberglass cast - I purchased the aircast due to a triquetral fracture. At first, the thumb area was uncomfortable but that quickly went away. I find the air cast way more comfortable than my fiberglass cast. It also provides the same support. Glad I purchased it Review: Five Stars - such a good alternative to a half arm cast!

Such a disappointment because the quality was fine
It has the thumb hole placed in the middle of the bottom splint in a completely awkward and unnatural position. Such a disappointment because the quality was fine. Had to return it.

Worked.
Fell and, I believe, broke my wrist. Since, mostly, I have found orthopedists to be psycho sadists, I didn't have the energy or inclination to find one to go to. I've broken bones before and as long as it's not bad, I find aircasts to be enough. So ordered one, got it the next day, put it on, wore it for 6 weeks, and now it's mostly well, Still a little pain. But not much. But the cast didn't quite fit. I probably needed a small but got a medium. It was very hard to open a can or break an ice cube tray, but by using the cast for leverage, it was possible. Use a cast, and my breaks heal in 6 weeks. Don't use a cast and it's 6 months or a year. And you can take an aircast off for showers.

Wasn't for me!
I have a small wrist and arms but I have long thin fingers, the hole you put your thumb in, felt like is was placed In the wrong spot! It needed to be moved over and you can't change it! It was well made but hard to put on, if your in pain, it's going to hurt, when you try to pull the straps! The straps do not move easy!

Cast is fine and what I expected
Cast is fine and what I expected. You will have to order it long before you need it, however. No expedited shipping available and it took over two weeks to reach me.

How much can you like an aircast?
A lot, it turns out. I had the plaster one attached to me for 2 weeks waiting patiently for this to arrive. What a relief. The only thing is I may be hindering healing by being able to take it off for showers. I've been wearing it 5 weeks since I took off the plaster and I still have pain (2 hairline fractures - radius- and a chip on the ulna). Should get that checked on.

Two Stars
Was very clunky and fit awkwardly... Returned without using.
