I put the belt in the microwave based on the time on the instructions. The pearls have turned white permanently. Is this normal?

My beads are lighter but not white.

WONT the strap be burnt if i microwave the therapearl backpack for hot therapy?

because there is metal on the strap we did not use this in the microwave, only for ice. After a while the gel beads will begin to come out of the plastic, but it was heavily used daily for months for inflammation in the back.
