Great for Learning Advanced Beginner German
Mine came from the seller books_from_california, listed as Very Good condition and arrived as Excellent, I would say. Very pleased with the paperback textbook that has a perfect spine, intact, no markings or highlights whatsoever. The Netzwerk Neu books are the best for clear German instruction with multiple practice exercises. The A2 course book has a code to download all the Audio and Video files used in the book, too, so you're getting a full experience of the language. The paper used is not glossy, so it easier to read with no reflection on the paper; it also makes it easier to write in pencil, if you choose to do so.Since the Netzwerk Neu A2 textbook is fully in German, you may need a teacher, tutor or a supplemental German book series for beginners in your native language, depending on your comfort with learning a language by yourself. The book utilizes color to serve as an aide when showing noun gender for masculine, feminine and neuter, as well as when demonstrating how to conjugate verbs and picking out the stem/root, which I find to be quite useful. Most thankfully, they have provided Answer Keys online to all the exercises, too! It includes a Grammar Overview (Grammatikübersicht) and Glossary (alphabetische Wortliste), which is useful when cross-referencing concepts with supplemental materials or refreshing one's memory. The ONLY negative is the way they put a grey ink number 2 behind some text when they're trying to show you the second step in building a particular sentence or grammatical pattern. It makes it hard to read the actual word in black ink on top of the grey ink.As a self-learner, I use Netzwerk Neu A1 in combination with Nicos Weg and Easy German on YouTube, DW Deutsch Lernen online exercises, the Practice Makes Perfect German series workbooks, Easy German written by Ed Swick (just to read the grammar explanations in English) and the Teach Yourself Complete German and Teach Yourself Enjoy German books to give myself a broad overview and outline of my goal to level B2 German on the CEFR language scale. I prefer to use course books like Netzwerk Neu to give myself a structured method for learning a language. Even if you don't want to rely on a course book, the table of contents and reading exercises alone are worth it, in my opinion.
