How can I stop the ticking noise?

I don't know. I learned to accept it. I bought the timer for my kids. I decided the ticking noise is good for them to be aware that time is passing.

Does this ring? Or can it be used silently?

No sorry. It ticks and rings quite loudly. I needed that for my space however there is no quiet setting.

My students messed with this timer, which i had on the wall, when i wasn't looking. now the whole circle stays blue. :-( is there any way to fix it?

Sitting here with a cracked cover and a torn blue disk and no way to fix. Sad to say what I thought would be a simple screw to open, fix, and return to working is now a heap of trash.

Is there a way to make the alarm longer?

Sorry, the duration of the alarm is not adjustable, usually it will sound for 3 seconds
