Hikari Algae Wafers for Pets, 0.70-Ounce

I feed pumpkin shrimp these algae tabs and they thrive and love them. They have a smell which I think helps attract them to the tablets. They immediately flock to it!

My fish , catfish and snails love these as soon as they are dropped in the tank.

My go to brand for years. Pleco, cichlids love these. I’ve tried other brands but hands down these are the best. My Pleco begins to smell it immediately and goes and finds it. Cichlids love to eat this as well.

My ottocinclus go crazy over these wafers, and so do my snails. These are the only ones I feed the snails in particular because the miniscule amount of copper. There's nearly none in it, way at the bottom of the list. Copper is toxic to aquatic snails so it's great to have an additional food for them, and I like to break them up into small pieces to scatter around the tank since they expand and prevents food competition. (Also love how it creates nice biofilm for everyone to munch on when I keep the tank's lights on a bit extra!)

The photo in the listing is deceptive. I was surprised and disappointed at the price of this little package of food.

These are large wafers, great for plecos and related fish. I forgot they sell these in mini size, and have to break them up for my shrimp and snails. It sinks quickly, and as it slowly absorbs the water it expands and crumbles. I recommend removing excess wafer as it can get messy and affect tank parameters if you leave it in there too long.The occupants of my tank approve of the purchase!

Nice form of algae and other high protein sources in little slow dissolving wavers. All my nano tank community come and pick at them but the cory cats just love these! I bought a small package of them to try but when those run out I'll definitely be buying the larger version. These work great!

I am a 5’2 female with very small hands. This picture still doesn’t do justice to the ridiculously small “sample” size package you get for a LARGE PRICE!! RIP OFF!!!

I got these for my corydoras, but my shrimp absolutely love them. They'll come out their hiding places and nab them lol. Obviously you don't put a whole one in unless you've got a huge pleco etc. I break a couple of tiny pieces off and plonk them in. The trouble is, all my other fish like them too! So if you've got other fish such as platys or gouramis, there will be a feeding frenzy! I tend to feed my other fish first before my corys and shrimp. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. But can safely say your fish will love them!My cat even got hold of one and enjoyed it!
