A great expansion of what the author wrote about in his first book in this series. This book shows you the step by step process on an even larger amount of excel models and sports data information. The book also comes with a downloadable package so you can use the model as you read along. A great book for someone looking to expand their knowledge in sports modeling in excel

Andrew Mack has written a second excellent book on statistical sports modeling in excel. His first book took the reader through multiple models and gave a baseline on winning systems in sports predictive analysis. The second book goes deeper in how to develop successful models using player data. Andrew also touches lightly on basic Bayesian applications and a recommendation for further reading.Andrew keeps his book on point for the general sports betting group who takes their hobby seriously- but does not have the time to learn more advanced coding like Python or R. He describes his method of modeling- and provides the reader the ability to gain a slight edge over the sportsbook.Do not read this book for the easy answer on how to win at sports gambling. Andrew does NOT promise riches or a 90% win rate. He is honest and lets you know- to win against the book- you have to work hard and look for an edge. However- the author gives you a definite headstart in learning how to model at a player level and enough information to develop winning player props.This book is mandatory for anyone who wants to take their sports predictions to the next level.Excellent follow up- I highly recommend.

I’ve been interested in building a sports model for a while and have tried to pull a lot of nuggets out of the many books on the subject, but had difficulty going from thoughts to actual model. This book, and the previous book in this series, got me over the hump. The author does a great job tying everything together in a clear and logical way that really balances math and theory well. The templates are good examples to really help you get going on your own ideas. I use R for programming but the concepts here are extremely transferrable. I commend the author for putting together a book with plenty of substance and practical advice that will go alongside the very few other quality sports betting books.

Easy to follow along with and good continuation of volume 1. The link to the spreadsheets is thrown in randomly halfway through the book which is why I think a lot of people reviewing are saying they aren't included, and to be honest I thought it was a little weird that they were thrown in to start chapter 8 when you need to use them to follow chapters 1 through 7, but they are there.

Great book. Even better guy. Provides an excellent gateway to sport modeling. Gives you all the tools necessary to move into more sophisticated modeling. Highly recommended.

After reading his first book in the series I immediately signed up for preorder for this release... Glad I did!!! More great insights and help to understand/setup your statistical inputs and using them in excel. Book also includes some great resource outlets to use in your data mining needs

By far the single most important sports modeling book I've ever read. Walks you through everything step by step, and his models helped me generate a half dozen ideas for myself.
