All-New Fire HD 8 & 10 User Guide - Newbie to Expert in 2 Hours!

I started noticing some of the useful advice, as I kept scanning the text. I knew from other facts learned by readings and trial and error. I compared the facts, and I knew the information gained to a certain degree. I will bring up one example and it's one helpful tip to consider. What apps were draining down the battery. The author pointed out where to look for possibilities. I compared that situation to looking for other ideas of all my resources trying to find what could be helpful. I wanted to find out how to solve some other helpful potential problems to rectify them, before they do become an issue. The book is one of many resources of mine, that I keep referring to them on remembering, what I should not forget. A handy reference to probe the memory and give useful information. I know I don't like to foolishly spend money. The manuals and guides offered on Amazon for the most part have contributed some good useful information. Some authors passed over some explanations or focused on different general or specific information. This book would help the newest user of the Kindle Fire HD to someone who has had it for awhile by needing his brain jogged a notch to recall some details. I am a person who likes to have a wealth of information at his fingertips, even if not used all the time. I would call it a confidence thing or some people would call it a comfort thing. Either way, I thought the price was fair and a good counterpart to his Zero to Newbie in One Hour. Newbie to Expert in 2 Hours just means it would take double the time or more. The term expert is a relative word. Expert means a person who has special skill or knowledge. If one takes the opportunity, the potential to be an expert is possible. How much they progress still depends heavily on that person. Knowledge is power and retention is key to use that power to make the tablet tool to add value to your life. Whether it helps on your fun free time or as a work tool one can gain the benefit, once it is retained to assist as an useful reference.

The book is a concise, clear description of all the major functions with enough information to allow you to start using them with confidence. Useful hints and suggested add-on apps will have you jumping back and forth between the book and the Fire function under discussion. If you're reading the Kindle edition it's a delight to use the links to implement the author's suggestions immediately. This won't be the only source of information on how to make the best use of your Kindle Fire, but it is probably the best possible start you can make.

This book is written so that a new user can easily be guided through the setup and use of the device or an expert ITer can solve a particular problem or question quickly and without the need for additional help. It would be wonderful if all such user guides were written this way. It's well-worth the investment of time.

I purchased the Kindle version which was a big mistake. The illustrations were too small to read. To go back to another chapter or page to review while practicing the "How to Do" on the HD 8, you have to do a search on the kindle. There is good information that can be used, but my recommendation is purchase the hard copy book that you have easy access to the pages you want to review quickly while learning the HD 8.

This book was very helpful for learning about all the features of my kindle fire hd 8. This is my first kindle, so I bought this book because I wanted to take advantage of all it had to offer. The fire is easy to use and I probably could have figured out most things by myself, but still found the book helpful. It made things easier to figure out and helped me to discover features I wouldn't have known about otherwise. A few things were outdated, but that is to be expected with fast changing technology. I felt it was worth the reasonable price of 2.99 that I paid for it. It's very easy to read and to find topics you want. I have read it once and will be referring to it as needed in the future.

It is promoted by the authors as the User Guide that should have been included with the delivered product and I concur. That said, the expert end of the spectrum is somewhat lacking. But the general theme of the product is to learn by doing. Discovery in the dark is certainly not satisfying. This user guide get you started doing. Now, today I took my first picture and was pleased to learn the image file was a jpeg and I can upload it to Facebook. I also took a video, but I have yet to determine its' file type. Now, I learned that the picture file was a jpeg, by e-mailing it to my email account server. Now the process of setting up the e-mail transfer was not trivial, especially in discovery mode. Most users would not have that information readily available. You can send the picture directly to Facebook, but there is no way I am going to give that login information to my Fire 10, which really, really wants that access to market to my Friends list. I am sure that there is a setting to prevent that. This guide does not show one how to do that. The one time I logged into FB using the Fire 10 and my own password protection app, FB tried to take over FB messenger by installing the Fire Messenger. There is probably a setting to prevent this, but this document does not say how. So, it is by no means an expert level document but as a document that encourages the development of expertise at the basic operations, it does well. That is enough for a slim volume.

EXCELLENT CLEAR QUALITY; HIGH CAPACITY; GREAT TO HAVE OTHER DEVICE USER MANUALS AND EMAIL RECEPTION/SENDING ALWAYS AVAILABLE. IT WAS A CHRISTMAS GIFT AND JUST NOW STARTING TO USE TO MY DELIGHT.

Very helpful guide, I will refer to it a lot

I found this book covers many of the questions I had as a new purchaser of the fire hd10covered quite well. I especially appreciated the fact that the information was presented in grammatically correct English (with the occasional American misspellings). I question the use of Expert in the title as this volume leaves me with very many unanswered questions as a novice user. It was still far superior to the almost useless format of the official help provided for this product.
