The Ally Triple Flint Striker looks a bit different than my old striker but it performs extremely well. An ingenious design provides two replacement flints, literally at your fingertips, and the purchase included four replacement flint packs, at no additional charge. That’s a total of 15 flints, enough to last me many years. The striker is comfortable in my hand, easy to operate and works flawlessly. A single squeeze of the handle lit my propane torch every time. Hat’s off to a great design and a tremendous bargain. Highly recommended!

Had to BEND it to get the flint and striker wheel to align. It is rather flimsy, it bends even more when you try to use it, it's not made of steel but some soft silver metal. Chrome plating is already flaking off in one use. This one will be going into the scrap bin soon. I don't recommend it, get a quality one from a welding supply company you'll be much happier even if it cost more.

What a great improvement of on old design! Not only is the spark bigger but it works with every strike. With my old fashion one, I would have to try two or three times before I could lite my propane torch, even with a new flint. The wider design of the grip area also feels a lot more comfortable in the hand than the old wire design. You will not be disappointed with the ALLY Tools Triple Flint Striker.

This is a good, sturdy tool that works every time. It is made of heavier material than most strikers, and it comes with three flints set in a triangular metal holder, so you can switch them when one begins to wear out. It also comes with four extra sets of 3 flints, so I don't anticipate needing replacements for some time. I got it to light my kitchen stove, which has a temperamental pilot light, and it works well, giving a strong spark with every stroke. I'll probably end up using it in my studio as well, because, as I said, it is a sturdy tool.

I do not have time to go driving around for a nice torch striker like the one offered my Ally. I've been using this type for years. Imagine my delight to discover exactly the right stricker at Amazon. Instead of sitting in traffic for half a day wasting valuable work time, I get to stand over my torch and be productive all because of the confluence between Ally and Amazon. Definitely a 5-star experience. Nice work guys and nice striker too.

I have been soldering and using shop tools for 50 years. This is the worst striker I have ever used. The handle is slick polished steel making it impossible to squeeze and spark the flint. The only way to get the striker to work is put your fingers up close to the flint which also puts your fingers in the flame when the torch lights. I am now using it with leather glove which is not very convenient. I was hoping this would be a good tool, unfortunately it is not, do not recommend this striker. Update. After the return time limit from Amazon expired, I emailed the company ALLY. They responded very fast and were concerned that the product did not meet my expectations. They also refunded the cost. I Give them 2 starts for the item purchased. 5starts for customer service.

The built-in igniter on our gas stove top has not been working properly so I purchased this tool for us to manually light the gas. The tool is certainly well made and did produce a spark, but it took many attempts to light the gas and proved dangerous as you want to light on the first attempt to avoid releasing too much unburned gas in the house. I decided to order a battery operated plasma lighter.
