A UV filter is NOT SAFE FOR PHOTOGRAPHING A SOLAR ECLIPSE!!! Doing so not only risks destroying the sensor in the camera; it also RISKS BURNING THE RETINA OF THE USER'S EYE AND PERMANENTLY BLINDING THE PHOTOGRAPHER!!!!!! SPECIAL SOLAR PHOTOGRAPHY FILTERS THAT REDUCE THE LIGHT REACHING THE LENS BY 1000:1 ARE REQUIRED.

I have a Canon T5, my lens says 18-55mm, do I get a 55mm filter?

The Nikon 18-55 lens that come with the two lens kit Does take a 55mm uv lens. I'm looking at it as I write this. Mine is a b+w 55 010 uv haze.

Can this reduce reflections if I'm taking a photo of a store window?

I doubt that it will, the purpose of the filter is to reduce glare in bright sunlight, my intended use of this filter is to protect my lens, depending on what time of day your shooting a store window you may be able to have less glare also the type of format you shoot jpeg or RAW the editing software you use should assist you more than the filter. The AF-P Nikkor DX 18-55mm Lens and the AF-P DX 70-300mm Lens that your referring to are two different size diameters.

The 18-55mm has a diameter of 55mm,
The 70-300mm has a diameter of 58mm...

Many people make this mistake because most of the bundles that include these two lenses and camera come with a set of UV/CPL filters but they only fit one of the lenses (the 55mm diameter/18-55mm lens).
