Quality for price.
why 5 stars? I live in a small studio in NY and it keeps it cold. It is excellent quality, I have had it for almost 3 years I like it very cold so I have it in front of the bed and I can have it run continuously by leaving the bathroom door open. I have run it continuously for up to 14 hours. It's mostly easy to clean. On the back bottom it's easier to clean if you let at least a small layer of dust. This type get a bit hot but this was more than normal, it was the hose that had some damage I didn't notice which was on because I needed a longer one. I also replaced the window cover for a soft material one and it works well.

Works great! A bit unclear on a few things.
Overall, this unit is GREAT! It blows very cold, even on the low fan setting of cooling. However, trying to set the app up was a bit confusing. You’ll need a 2.4 GHZ WiFi connection. I had to split my Xfinity modem to have both a 2.4 and a 5 GHZ. Once I split the modem up via the Xfinity app, the fan’s WiFi found the 2.4 signal and connected fairly easily. You’ll also need the SmartLife app. Another hiccup we’ve run into is, and very rarely but it does happen, but the unit will be running cooling mode and then all of a sudden it will turn off the compressor and the fan. It’s almost like it turns itself off. It’s possible that once the room reaches the cooling temp setting, it may do that. We keep ours at 60. The unit with restart itself fairly quickly, within 5-10 seconds, but it’s just strange. The instructions don’t list that as a possibility, and customer service didn’t really know why it was doing it either. Overall, this is a really great unit for the price as it cools very well for our bedroom which is around 195 square feet. We live in a very hot and humid area of the US, and this does a great job in the heat.

The Perfect Choice for an RV
I have a 2017 Bighorn fifth wheel with two 15,000 BTU roof AC units. Living in the coach is okay until the outside temps reach 100 degrees; after that, it's no fun. Because we had to live in the coach this summer while waiting for our new Tucson home to be completed, I quickly saw the need for more AC capacity. Rather than have the dealer install a third 15,000 BTU roof AC unit (about $3,700), I decided to order this 10,000 BTU Serenelife portable unit. At only 57 pounds, it's not too heavy to get in the RV and the compact dimensions were an added plus. A friend and I rigged up a custom exhaust plate for one of the windows and that was it, installation complete. I was worried whether the amp draw would throw a circuit breaker inside the coach but it never happened. Long story short: After four months in temperatures that twice reached 117 degrees, this Serenelife portable unit performed flawlessly. I never turned it on until the outside temps hit 102 or 103. It was able to drop the inside temps from 86–87 degrees to 82 degrees every time. And believe it or not, it's relatively quiet. Be sure to watch your appliance usage with running three AC units — do not use your toaster, water heater, or microwave until later. If you are thinking about buying a portable AC for your RV or small room in your home then guys, this is definitely the one. Just my 2 cents.

Gave out after less than 12 hours
Unit was ordered on 8/24/2025, received on 8/25/ 2025, was set up and installed on 8/27/2025. First use of the unit was on the evening of 8/29/2025. Unit worked for approximately 12 hours total. Unit was turned on while I was downstairs for approximately 8 hours on 8/29/2025. Turned off/ put in standby mode while I was upstairs sleeping, where I turned on the second unit I purchased the SLPAC 8 to sleep for the evening. The SLPAC8 was then turned off/ put in standby mode when I woke up in the morning, when I went downstairs. Since it was a cool day, I did not use the SLPAC 105W unit until approximately 7:30 p.m. this unit ran for less than an hour, and now has an E5 error code. This error code is not listed in the user's manual. I attempted to watch videos, run through the checklist on Amazon trying to troubleshoot it, call to Amazon tech support. Tech support told me that the error code indicates something internally wrong with the machine and that they could connect me with the manufacturer on Monday. Which is funny because Monday is a holiday in the US so I hope it's not a state side phone call because nobody will be there. Additionally while trying to register the two units I purchased, the registration would not complete And I got stuck on the redirecting page to what it was redirecting I don't know. But because I was told that they could connect me Monday with somebody to help me from the company/manufacturer, I will call again Monday and attempt to talk to somebody if there's anybody there.

Brrrrr! My home is cold! *now
I was impressed from the moment I was able to get it up the steps to my door, alone. That's on the delivery dirtbag. First off, it arrived sooner than originally originally estimated - during a lull in the heatwave, so I was able to get it set up and tested before the current heat blast began today. It was packaged very well, with all of the components, except the 2 screws required for the exhaust hose. No probs. There's always a few loose screws floating around this funny farm. I'm disabled, one of the main reasons I chose this model, for ease of moving around the house. I had to come up with something to keep the exhaust hose window plate in my window, because it is too long to be set within the window itself. So I placed a section of 2" thick Styrofoam on the window sill, then put the exhaust plate on that, but snug up against the bottom of the window. The "handle" on the bottom of the window keeps that plate in place well enough and I only had to plug tiny gap to prevent air escaping. The unit is really simple to operate, not any louder than other AC units, and most vital - my 10,000 btu AC is cooling my entire house from one central room. I hope this lasts a long time, because on my first day using it, I'm glad to give it 6/5 stars.

I live in Canada, but I'm really averse to heat and can't stand indoor temperatures when it's anything higher than 24C (75F) outside. After the heat dome of last year, I swore to myself that I'd get an AC before May of this year, which was a great call because this unit arrived just in time for another heat dome of 27C - 30C (80 to 86F) a day for the upcoming week. My roommate hates AC for whatever reason, so I just wanted something that could cool a very small bedroom (roughly 150 square feet), was affordable, and wasn't a window unit. Based on other reviews, I went for this model (SLPAC105W). Absolutely gets the job done. If it's aimed anywhere in my direction, it has me shivering, so it's almost overkill for a small room. I deliberately take fully cold showers everyday to the point of being quite cold adapted, so believe me when I say that this thing produces some serious coooold. So long to the days of having to spray water on myself and aim a fan in my direction (which barely ever did anything). The cold air comes out within seconds unlike, say, a car's AC, which is a comparison I used because the lowest temperature setting on this thing is 16C (60F), which is the lowest my car's AC does. Installation was quite easy. I will point out that the window attachment was too long for my window of 32 inches, so keep that in mind. I've seen another reviewer mention cutting down the window attachment to fit, but I lack the tools to do this, so I just discarded the slide in part and duct taped some spare plastic to cover the 7 inches of opening that remained. Seemed to form enough of a seal to get the job done and I'm not too concerned with maximal efficiency here. The unit is a lot noisier than I expected, even on "low", which is sort of okay with me considering I like ambient noise and always had an air purifier and tower fan running at all times, but if loud noise bothers you, keep that in mind. My noise cancelling earbuds are strong enough to block out my air purifier and tower fan when both on together and strong enough to block out even the ambient engine noise of my car, but they're not strong enough to block out the noise of this unit. Be mindful of that if the unit is close to your bed. I suppose that's what the sleep timer is for, though I haven't tried that out yet. But better to have a cool room than a hot one, right? Maybe a good idea to run it in the hours leading up to sleep if noise is an issue. Overall, I'm very satisfied. Surpassed my expectations. I used to dread summer and literally preferred even -40C (-40F) Canadian winters, but now I look at the upcoming forecast of back to back 30C (86F) days with optimism knowing I've got this AC handy. Shivering as I type this! Highly recommended.

The product works great AND despite what some buyers say actually had instructions to pair to WiFi and Smart Life app. Cools a small room in minutes, and I'd recommend this for a small-medium sized bedroom. Noise level on low is around the same as a an air filter, so more like white noise than a jet engine (as some exaggerate). Thankfully, I love having white noise to sleep to (better than loud sounds from outside my window). It came with an instruction booklet that helped with pairing it to my WiFi and Smart Life app, but alas Google Home and Amazon Alexa could not import/link the device from Smart Life app on my phone to voice activation as indicated. Still, being able to turn on my AC while I'm out (or turn it off when I'm out) from my phone is pretty nice. I just hope that this is a software issue that can be patched by Smart Life and/or Google Home/Amazon Alexa. The Smart Life controls also allows customized on and off time, along with the usual Cool/Fan/Dry , Speed Level, Temperature control, and Timer. Going to keep watch for any water overflow, but my years of experience with Portable ACs is that it is like a Russian Roulette (1 in 6 chance) and more often it is also the AC being overwhelmed by the size of the room it was put in (ie: not for large open high ceiling living room areas).

Worked great but kinda loud if it had one more speed that was bit slower it wouldn’t be so loud. It dous blow a lot of cold air also as far as I can figure the remote control that comes with it does nothing. There is nothing in the owner manual that says anything about the remote control or how to use it. Have to use app on your phone to operate it remotely. The app does work well and easy to set up
