Taste and quality not the same
This chocolate used to be very tasty and well known in Brazil. But at this time, I don't know if the quality dropped or the chocolate was affected with importation, but taste is weird, like not fresh and the chocolate texture is very different.

Not the same variety it used to be
Chocolates arrived well packaged and in perfect condition, very fresh. Great reliable vendor to buy from, I recommend. But would I buy those boxes again? Well, no. Why? Garoto was a Brazilian chocolate factory which produced a huge variety of products, including bombons sold in 500gr boxes until mid 90s. The original boxes had nearly 30 different types of bombons but with time the company started to reduce the variety and the size of the boxes. Recently the company was sold to Nestle, which messed up the quality of the chocolates and modified drastically a winning formula. The box we buy today weighs only 200gr and have 8 or 9 different bombons, there’s not even 20 (smaller) chocolates in total and no Serenata de Amor. The biggest selling bombom from Garoto is not present in the new boxes. Nestle ruined a Brazilian tradition and reliable gift. I wouldn’t buy it again even in Brazil.
