Got an fire pit installed, i told the contractor it whistles really loud when you turn the gas up. He added some valve to make it "more silent" but there was little to no height in the flame... So i said what about a whistle free flex line... he told me "oh no its not that its just that pressure is too high"........ IDIOT! I bought this, installed it myself, MAGIC the obnoxious whistle is gone and i got a HUGE flame! IDIOT CONTRACTOR!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  My firepit installation was amazing!!! The noise.. not so much. I didn't even consider the whistling effect of the hose. After installing this hose... 99% of the whistle is gone. There is only a slight "whoosh" sound when the gas valve is fully open. You really can't even hear it over the flame. What an upgrade!!!! If you have a whistle going on, don't hesitate, get this!!

HAD to fix the whistle in our new firepit usage. It was driving us crazy not being able to enjoy the flames and company with the noise always a deterrent. It was an easy fix once the works were undone and this replacement hose was installed. There is only a super tiny bit of noise at the very highest degree of gas volume but overall this was a blessing to find and I wish the original installers of our backyard haven would have known/recommended it's usage vs. us trying to solve a problem after building was complete. Would highly recommend this line for a peaceful solution to anyone who has experienced this whistling noise while using their gas firepit.

Very nice gas flex line for my gas fireplace log set. No whistling or noise whatsoever. Be careful about the fittings that come with this set to make sure they fit your gas pipe and burner. I had to purchase additional fittings to make the connections (two trips to the hardware store). But then, the fireplace worked great--much improved.

I ordered the 30 inch length version of this and received one that was 18 inches long. Figured someone made a mistake, so I ordered another one. You guessed it, I received another 18 inch length. Both are getting returned. Two stars because it may very well be a quality product but it's not what I ordered.

With gas flow, size matters. If you have a 3/4” fitting on your appliance, it may starve for gas with a 1/2” line. This is only a half inch line. Read carefully.

I just installed my new backyard fire pit, my pit is Natural Gas and has a large BTU output, around 110,000btus.I originally made the connections with these normal gas flex lines. See my photo. The whistle they produced made the fire useless, way to loud. I found these online, once I had them installed it was night and day!! These are so quiet. They are truley a must have!
