Seems Solid, Easy Install, arrived a little banged up. Design flaw?
This arrived in a giant bubble bag, and needless to say that there were some corners which had damaged paint from moving and laying it around. The bag with hardware was fine because it was taped to the metal.I have a step bumper, and the receiving square sits about 1.5 inches inward (not flush, but it may stick out if you have a regular bumper)The product seems very solid but I was surprised to see that when the main square tubing was bent into shape, it made it buckle at those curves (see where the arrows are pointing in my attached photos, IF I can attach.) Now, I don't think that buckling affects the rating of this unit. The wall of all material is very thick (it's actually thicker than the van's frame) and I would not worry about it handling the rated capacity. I was just a little surprised to see it. I really doubt you'd see something like that in a CURT model.I definitely WOULD recommend this product due to affordability IF you don't live in a area where it's prone to rust - as I've mentioned, a few of the corners had chipped paint from shipping and also from having a inexpensive finish. Works for me though, since I only need it to hold my 300 lbs dirt bike. If money was not an issue, I'd choose a better brand. Cheers!

Very sturdy hitch, picture is wrong
Positive: Great hitch, well built, perfect fit, very solid.Negative: I don't have a step bumper on my van, and this hitch extends well beyond the stock bumper. That's not a problem with the hitch, so it doesn't affect my star rating. Just wanted to point it out. Also negative: The hitch was not packaged for shipment. They just slapped a label on the hitch and sent it out, so it got some paint dings and chips in transit. I was disappointed by this, but again it's not a product problem so still 5 stars. Also, the picture shows a straight-bar hitch. This is incorrect. The hitch actually has a curved crossbar. Again, not a problem, but you should know what you are getting. When I mounted the hitch, I got confused as to which set of holes it went it, and at first thought it didn't fit very well. But once I moved it further to the rear and the correct set of holes, it lined up perfectly. Installation was an easy 15-minute affair at that point. One of the spacer shims that came with it was made incorrectly. The hole was too small for the bolt to pass through. I called the manufacturer and they were very nice about sending a replacement spacer right away. So I didn't put in the last bolt until the shim arrived. Not a big deal. I just didn't tow anything that week. All in all, I really like this hitch. It's very solid and even good looking.

Easy install
This bolted right up without any problems on my 2002 Ford E250. I haven't towed with it yet, but it looks very well built.

2013 Van installation
This was installed on a 2013 E350 Econoline. This hitch extends pass the rear of the standard bumper. It probably would fit best on a van with a step bumper. Hitch installed easily with simple handtools. I had questions about which set of holes that I needed to be used on the frame but moving the hitch forward a set of holes may have impacted the spare tire. I read the instructions for a couple different hitches fitting the same truck and think that the instructions for this hitch could be rewritten to help installers.
