A great budget cpu that punches above its weight
I bought this CPU for a budget 1080p gaming pc for my nephew. Originally I planned to use the 3300x in the build but they have been unavailable for months. Anyway I built the pc around this with 16gb (2x8gb) 3200mhz corsair vengeance lpx ram, an Asrock B550m Pro 4 mobo, RX 580 8gb Msi Armour gpu, 1TB WD nvme ssd, 2TB Toshiba 7200rpm HDD, 500w Be quiet system 9 psu, GameMax Phantom Gaming Case with tempered glass side panel, all new for £600. I'm really happy with the performance of this rig, as is my nephew. Getting a 4 core 8 threaded cpu for this money is superb (I paid £95), and it is an excellent performer. Even RDR2 chugs along nicely at 60fps with medium to high settings. My I7 7700k cost over £300 3 years ago and the performance isn't far behind it. There are a couple of things to note when building a PC with this chip. It has no onboard gpu so you will need a discreet graphics card otherwise you will not get a display. Secondly I initially had issues getting the new build to post. I turned the power on and the fans powered up but that was it. Luckily have built a few pc's and thought this was a RAM issue. So I pulled out the sticks from slots 1and 3 and tried 2 and 4. Still no luck. I then put a single stick of ram in slot 2 and it posted. I then installed windows, shut the pc down and installed both sticks in their dual config and hey presto all worked fine. I did have a further problem as the I could not get the ram to work at it's designated 3200mhz, I had to settle for 3000mhz, though I'm sure a bios update would solve this. An included cpu cooler is also nice to see, and it works just fine, though if you like to overclock a beefier solution is recommended. It's certainly a lot better than the old intel stock coolers. Anyway a great value cpu, well done AMD.

Decent multi threaded CPU
Bought this to put together an entry level gaming build. So far, does a great job at most of what I throw at it. Multithreading is good for everyday computing, and gaming seems to be just fine (GTA V on Very High runs fine, for example). The temps are a bit hotter than I'd like, but I suspect this could be due to the cheaper stock thermal compound it comes with. Nevertheless, it's not running so high that I feel the need to change it. Overclocking is simple, and at idle the power consumption is super low. Very decent processor for the price all in all.

Nice little cookie for a budget game pc built.
Super value product. Plays game with no issues. If you want a pc for every day use and occasional gaming with Xbox game pass. This and a graphic card like the rx580 or nvidia gtx 1060 or RTX 1650 works really well together. Any thing else seems like a wast of money. I have used blender on this and it did not disappoint considering it cost me less than 100 uk pounds. I have tried it with Nvidia gtx 1070 and AMD Radeon graphic card RX 5700xt. It played most games just as good as my 7th gen. intel i7 7700k that cost me a fortune to purchase a few years ago. Product was delivered well packaged with cooler and arrived within a day of placing the order. I strongly recommend checking out the Ryzen 3 3300x. Once availability improves. I couldn’t get my hand on one hence this purchase. But I am very happy with my purchase.

Don't be misled by its budget ta!
Whilst this CPU may not have the bells and whistles of others in the family of Ryzen, it has sufficient oomph to get most things done at a budget price. Very easy to install.

Temporary upgrade from FX-8350
Just got this Ryzen 3 3100 to temporarily use until the Ryzen 4000 CPUs release (paired it with my B550 motherboard and 16GB of 3200 DDR4). Upgraded from an FX-8350. Haven't really tested it much compared to the FX 8350, but I have played a few games on the new CPU and I have got quite a big improvement on some of them. (Still running my RX 480) Fallout 4 as an example, I was currently in another playthrough when I did the upgrade. I went from getting like 20ish-30 FPS in the worst downtown areas (that's with a lot of settings down to lowest/medium/off) on the FX 8350 build. To getting 60FPS pretty much everywhere (With all max settings, except with Godrays OFF and shadow quality set to high and shadow distance set to 6000 in the .ini which is in-between Medium and High) The worst places for performance loss no longer sent my FPS into the 20s and with the new build the lowest I got was 49fps when it was raining, but it was mainly 55-60 for the worst areas or full 60 everywhere else. So the Ryzen 3 3100 running with 3200mhz DDR4 certainly improved FPS massively in Fallout 4 (happy about that as I mod the game a lot) this was at 1080p with my RX 480 4G. I got improvement in others also, but like I said I haven't really tested it much more. When the Ryzen 4000 CPUs come out I will update the bios when it's released then upgrade to a 8 core Ryzen 7.

Good price for a fast chip
This was my first ever build of a PC. My son wanted to build a gaming PC so we built this together using Bitwit's videos and the internet to assist. The complete build cost around the £600 mark This CPU is very quick. System runs like a dream. The motherboard it was installed in was the MSI Gaming Carbon Pro WiFi. The power supply was a 650watt gold. Not too sure about all that overclocking stuff so it is standard and more than adequate for what my son wanted.. Excellent buy for the money

AMD is the obvious choice
My laptop recently broke and I decided I wanted to go to the gaming tower side. I’ve always used Intel but judging by the price to performance on the Ryzen CPUs it was an obvious choice. I wanted something cheap but still very good and that was the Ryzen 3 3100. I paired it with 16GB of HyperX 3200mhz ram and a GTX 1650 Super. I would’ve gone all team red but I wanted to stream and so I got that for the NVENC encoder. After putting it all together it’s an amazing little pc. It runs basically all of my games at over 60fps in ultra settings at 1080p. It runs at 40 degrees idle and only 60-70 when gaming. For only £95 it’s an absolute steal, because I didn’t think I’d ever get the performance like I am out of such little money. If the Ryzen 3 3300x becomes available I highly recommend getting that, but if you’re looking at building a cheap gaming pc right now, the Ryzen 3 3100 is easily the way to go.

Great value but no integrated graphics
Very good CPU, used it for my first build and so far it's performed very well, I overclocked it to 4.2Ghz and paired with a Cooler Master 212 it stays well below 70°C at that frequency. Keep in mind this does not have integrated graphics so you may not be able to use the hdmi on your motherboard. I would recommend this CPU

Value for money
Best processor under 10,000 rs in India I think 1- it has better clock speed and architecture in this segment 2- not much heating issue well it's winter and maybe low heating due to cold surrounding 3- best for gaming I paired with rtx 3060 ti and getting beast performance 4- video editing I have never tried but it can handle that one also 5- if you get it under 9k then this will be value for money
