As advertised and more
I needed to replace my remotes but still have cable with a newer Roku set. Most of the newest remotes don't have a set cable dial anymore I'm not electronically literate so I had a problem. These were just right. The instruction and code books were clearly printed, easy to understand a had a diagram showing just what each button was for. By accessing the auxiliary button for my cable box, I had them programed to my devices in ten minutes and in another 20 was using them the way I did the others. The pretty blue color makes them easy to locate, they are very light and fit easily into the hand. I got two for less than just one of those other ones would have cost me. Winners all around.

Good replacement universal TV remote
Great replacement for a universal remote. Was easy to program with a small bedroom LG television. Also comes preprogrammed to work with Roku devices. Mom loves it. Bright blue color makes it easy to find if it gets dropped and/or misplaced. I didnโt notice any input lag when using the remote for basic TV functions. Seemed to respond as fast as the OG remote.

Decent remote for old fashioned devices
The remote was fairly easy to program and is very affordable. I have some general complaints about it though. First, one of the most frequently used buttons on my Roku TV is the back button (exit channel and go back to stream selection) and this remote uses a TINY "Exit" button for this purpose. It needs a big back button. Second, the remote must be pointed directly at the TV IR receiver to work, so you wind up punching buttons while pointing downward, which means you're mostly looking at the bottom of the remote while using it. Again, overall works as advertised but the design a bit lacking.

Fantastic Universal Remote Control!
I recently purchased this universal remote control, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The first thing that stood out to me was the exceptional clarity of the instructions. They were written so well that even a tech novice like me could easily set up and use the remote. The design of the remote is simply beautiful. It fits comfortably in the hand, and its lightweight construction makes it a joy to hold, even during long TV marathons. The buttons are well-placed and responsive, ensuring that changing channels or adjusting the volume is a breeze. I'm genuinely delighted with this universal remote control. It has simplified my home entertainment experience and has become an essential part of my living room setup. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and user-friendly remote control. Thank you for creating such a wonderful product!

Everything works, except very limited success with the "Input" button
I purchased the 4-device remote to replace a much more expensive universal remote (Harmony) that after more than 10 years of perfect use, no longer will program correctly, even when I bought a brand new fresh one. I ended up liking this cheap little Philips remote, since at least I got everything programmed -- my old Sony HDTV, Verizon Cable Box, Sony Blu Ray player, and Roku Express. My TV has 4 HDMI ports, which each of these is hooked up to. Therefore, I need this remote's Input button to take me to the appropriate HDMI port each time I want to use the device. However, everything works with this remote EXCEPT the Input button. My original remotes for the Sony TV, and Verizon Cable Box, and Sony Blu Ray ALL have Input buttons that work (tho not the Roku Express). However, this Philips remote simply won't program them in. EXCEPT for the Blu Ray. The Input button DOES work for that one. Therefore, in order to change inputs, no matter which device I'm currently "on" and watching, if I just press the "DVD" (Blu Ray) button first, and then the "Input" button, it will simply open the HDMI screen on my TV so I can scroll to pick which HDMI I want and it takes me there. If the Blu Ray player is not "awake", I can use it's button plus "Power" to wake it. It's not terribly hard to do this, but I do wish it would simply work the way it is supposed to. Also, the volume button and channel buttons also seem to work like the DVD button, when pressed before the Input button. I will probably try another version of the (expensive) Harmony remote (some are cheaper on Ebay), and return this remote if the Harmony remote works correctly, since the Harmony programs much more detail that I would like. We mostly get what we pay for I guess.

Works exactly as described
We recently ditched cable, switching to over the air tv and roku for streaming. It was annoying having to have both the tv remote and the roku remote to switch between the two. Another thing my husband and I both found annoying with the roku remote is that there is no page up or down. We use Playstion Vue for live streaming tv. In the tv guide we had to scroll through the channels one at a time. With this Phillips remote we can control both our LG tv and our Roku with just one remote and when in the tv guide just hit the fast fwd button to page down and the rewind button to page up. No more having to scroll through one channel at a time. I was eyeing up other more expensive remotes but figured I'd give this one a chance. For $11 I am very happy! The remote comes with directions on how to easily pair to your TV and there are codes to enter to program the Roku. It only took me a few minutes to get up and running. The directions say that entering the codes to program the tv are recommended, I went through a handful of codes with no luck, then I noticed, later on in the instructions, how to auto program - worked like a charm. Not sure why auto program isn't listed first...

Not as advertised!!!!
This remote is advertised as: 1) Best Remote Code Library - This Universal Remote Works With All Major Brands And Supports "Thousands Of The Latest Audio/Video Equipment". 2) Compatible Devices: Television, Stereo System, VCR, DVD/Blu-ray Player, "Home Theater" 3) Add a touch of shimmer to your "home theater" 4) Simple Setup - This Remote Comes Preprogrammed For Roku And Samsung Tvs NOT SO! I bought this to control my Samsung TV, my Roku Ultra, and my Yamaha "Home Theater A/V", since that is what it is advertised to do. IT DOESNT! The ONLY "Home Theater-A/V" devices it will operate, are the ancient TV/DVD or TV/VCR combos, and a VERY short list of sound bars. Seriously? Ancient technology to control a VCR???? As far as pre-programmed to operate Samsung Tvs and Rokus? No, it does NOT! And get this: even when I programmed it to operate my Samsung TV, the only functions it will do (like many others have said) is turn the TV off/on and volume up/down. Seriously? My Roku Ultra remote would already do that!!! Added to that the fact it has 4 "programmable buttons" (A-Yellow,B-Blue,C-Red,D-Green) but the Instructions DO NOT mention these buttons in any way, or how to program them. So, they are useless. As others have also stated, there is NO model number stamped on this remote anywhere. Its bad enough you would have to get online for support due to poor documentation accompanying the remote.... but you cant find support for something when you cant find a model number! The remote is lightweight and not designed well. The streaming device buttons are TINY and hard to operate. I have attached a photo to prove it. Look how tiny the streaming device buttons are, compared to the Roku remote. Not to mention, the "home" streaming button is so tiny, and recessed lower than the buttons surrounding it... that its almost useless. Philips USED to be a high quality company. They should be ashamed for putting their name on this. Im sick of ordering junk that isnt as described, and decided a long time ago to just return everything that wasnt exactly as it was described or advertised, which is what I am doing with this junk remote. Dont waste your time or money.

Better Than Advertised
Only had for a few hours so far, but loving the Philips universal remote! Light and sleek after adding 2 AAA batteries. Set up requires a few steps but is very easy. I tried the automatic set up a few times but ended up referring to the code list. For each of the four products I set up, the first code in the list was the ticket. I even decided afterwards to swap two device buttons that I had already programmed, and it made the change just as easily. After this, I put four old remotes away in a drawer - this is the 'one remote to rule them all' !! Recommend trying a few buttons for each device with a piece of paper or memo app nearby to jot down a key for yourself before you memorize it through use. Very few differences, but where you are used to pressing X to do Z, you may need to press a similar but different button now. I was able to find a button that did everything I am used to doing on the old remotes. I can't imagine why we didn't do this years ago. One of our old remotes broke, leading me to this purchase.

Great product.
This is a great product. My Blu-ray remote stopped working so I bought this universal remote. It was super easy to set up and it works perfectly. So happy.

Easy to set up, works well
Bought this when we lost our TV remote and we actually like it better- so much so that we bought another one for another TV. Itโs simple to set up (you can Google the code you need to set it up if you donโt keep the card that comes with it) and is reliable. The range is good.

Don't buy
Didn't connect with Sony bluray player. Can't connect with Jio set top box. If it couldn't connect then what is the use of it.

Excellent! Exactly what I needed, and it's saving me a bundle
I thought my Philips TV was getting too old and I'd soon need to replace it, because I couldn't access the settings menu anymore and various functions just no longer worked for me. I'd change the batteries in the remote, but it didn't help, and I just figured the TV was in its twilight years and nearing the end of life. I started pricing new TVs and was about to drop over $2000 on a new system when I had the idea to try replacing the remote control altogether... And BOOM everything works again. The problem wasn't my TV, it was the remote control. Certain functions/buttons had just stopped working. But this new remote works like a charm, and allowed me to adjust my settings again and realize I can keep that $2000 in the bank. It's like I got my TV back. Setup was really easy! I'd never set up a universal remote before, but the process was super easy. There's an included list of 4-digit codes for different makes of TVs and other devices. You just find your brand on the list, and start with the first 4-digit code listed for that brand. There might have been a dozen codes but I only had to enter the first one, and it worked right away. It really could not have been easier, and I proceeded then to program it for my Blu-Ray/DVD player as well, so we've now replaced two remote controls with one. Huzzah! Highly recommend. It works with just about anything, it doesn't have to be Philips. Very, very pleased!
