Mini Salt and Pepper Shaker Set - 1.5 Inch

This salt and pepper shaker set was perfect for what I needed. I was looking for a very small set, and thought this would fit the bill.Size wise, it's right on the money. Almost too small if I'm honest. The two as a unit measure probably 1.5"x1". Individually I'm guessing .75"x1" (one inch tall, that is). Being so small, it's hard to imagine many useful applications for these shakers. Like I said though, that's what I was looking for and do not fault the product in any way for that.My beef is with the quality. The lids were silver but looked almost like they had been oxidized somewhat causing some gold random pattern on top. Not in a cool way at all, looks like they were left outside for a long time or something. Also, the glass molding is inconsistent between the two of them. The "bulb" area just below the lid was molded to be slightly crooked on one and overall you could tell that whatever process these were manufactured under was very poor.Needless to say, these look very cheap and very poorly crafted to say the least. They do not even match the photograph in the description, and with the weird goldness going on in the lids I'm not sure if the lids were intended to be gold or silver.This is normally when I would say you get what you pay for, but honestly $5 isn't exactly cheap for salt/pepper shakers especially this small. You can do far better than this just getting shakers from the dollar tree (yes, I have confirmed they have a set of shakers there which far exceed the quality of these for only $1.00, that's .50 each). Not as small as these, but otherwise much better.

Great salt and pepper shakers for a formal dining table where you want multiple salt/pepper shakers around the table to eliminate the need for "pass the salt please." We have about 6 sets of these, and space them evenly around the table.The lid appears to be silver or silver-plated, because it arrived "tarnished" and polished up beautifully with some silver polish.Attached are some photos, including the product box. The product photo on the Amazon page is incorrect, as these are "Model 287" and are much nicer than the item pictured (better shape).We ordered from seller "ON CLOUD 9" who ships via Amazon Prime, and they were great in answering questions, to confirm that "Model 287" would be the item shipped.

Better than those small square ceramic table top shakers. These pour out better and you can see when you need to refill them. The square ceramic ones may look better, but they don't shake worth a damn.

these were just he right size for what I needed. The tops needed a little polishing when they arrived but they are just perfect. My little granddaughter found the regular s/p shakers too big and the salt came out too fast so now she has her own set that she can easily control. Thanks

Perfect size, works great. Only downside is that the top has almost immediately become "oxidized" - lost its shine.

The set I received is different from what is pictured but still adequate for what I wanted. The set I received is tapered from bottom to below the top. Then there is a smooth buldge below the cap.

Just received and If these are stainless steel tops, why are they all tarnished straight out of the box? Will try silver polish, but suspicious they're some other cheap metal that will forever be a pain!
