BLACK+DECKER Steam Mop, White (HSM13E1)

SO, I really like this little steamer. Light weight great steam output! I bought the competitor and did not like it so I thought I would try this one and I am impressed. I bought replacement pads with blue stripe and it did a fantastic job on hardwood floors, tile and believe it or not I steamed my rugs!!! (I am kinda a clean freak.) I am not recommending this however, I decided to use it on my large area rugs and my jute mix rugs and my chair! Worked Great! The cord is too short and I would gladly pay a little extra for a longer cord. I love everything else. BINGO!

Just got my B&D steam cleaner. I really like it. It is quiet and makes quick work of cleaning the floors instead of scrubbing with a mop. It works great on my floors especially the wood and flat surfaces. I tried it on the ceramic floor and it definitely helped! The problem now is the grout, the cleaner can’t really reach that. This cleaner is light and easy to use. Yes, the cord is short but the extension cord helped a lot. If you order one, make sure to order extra pads because you go through them quick and it only comes with one.

It’s worth every penny!! It heats up in seconds & covers a good area. It’s fairly short handled, so might be uncomfortable for a tall person, but it works great!

For the price, this is a nice little steam mop. It was very easy to put together. For a small floor, the little water tank probably holds enough water to get the job done. But I have a large kitchen floor, and it took filling up the little tank twice. But it's so easy, that's not a problem. It's easy to watch the water level. It heats up quickly and is ready to go. The cord could be a little longer, but for a small floor, it's probably just right. I like that the pad, which attaches by velcro, is washable and reusable. The mop is lightweight and it swivels, making turns easier. And it has a low profile. It is quiet, with only the sound of the steam going. I was damp-mopping my kitchen floor, but this mop is a whole lot easier, and I got finished a whole lot faster. My floor is probably a whole lot cleaner too! The pad showed how much dirt it got up. I think it took longer for my floor to dry, than it did for me to actually mop it! (It does get hot, so be careful!)

This mop has the worst design and cheaply made. I do not recommend buying it.Cons: the cord is too short; there is no place on the mop to wind up the cord when you put it away. The cord just flops all over the floor. HOW CHEAP IS IT NOT TO PUT HOOKS ON IT SO THE CORD CAN BE WOUND UP? The mop does not stand on its own. It goes straight to the floor no matter what position you put it in it will not hold an upright position. It lays in the floor. The water compartment does not come off the mop. You have to pick the whole mop up and hold it under the faucet to fill. Or lay it on the floor and get a glass of water to fill. Makes a mess. One more big gripe - THERE ARE NO SETTINGS OTHER THAN ON /OFF AND THOSE BUTTONS ARE WERID. There is no high, med, OR low setting. Lastly the mop pad in the photos was not the one it came with. It had one very thin like disposable one. PROS- NONE. I RETURNED IT .

This model does not appear to include a lower cord hook. Its unfortunate that this single issue influenced my poor review. Otherwise, it works perfectly fine.

Awful - considering I was replacing a steam mop of the same brand that lasted 7+ years, this has never worked properly in the 6 weeks of me owning it, and is now useless. Initially it produced far too much steam, then when switching off to refill the tank it would not turn on again (for at least 24 hrs). Now it turns on but produces no steam at all.No way to get a refund or replacement either as apparently this was sold under an international amazon with zero information or advertising that it was (I use the UK Amazon app - everything looked as usual).
