We purchased these small water packets to keep in our car first aid kits and emergency backpacks. Good for cleaning a wound or taking medication. These packets are really convenient. Small and lightweight, they easily tuck into my to-go kit. The expiration date is clearly printed on each packet which makes it easy to monitor freshness each year when I update the kits.

I think it's worth the money to just keep a 12 pack in your car you don't have to worry about. I tried one, it taste like water, so nothing crazy going on there. Shelf life for years, they've been bouncing around in a pack in the back of my car for awhile now and nothing has leaked. They do come in a sealed bag, of which you could just leave them in should something leak eventually, but these are pretty sturdy little packs that I feel could take a lot of abuse. Anyway, worth grabbing, a bit pricey maybe since it's just water but it's money well spent should you need 'em.

This is the second 72 hour Datrex emergency water packs I’ve purchased over the last couple years. They do come with instructions on how much to consume the water in an emergency situation. Just be realistic if you are in a life or death situation! Anyway, one of my older packs sprung a leak at the seam and I believe it’s possibly from pressure that forced the water to weaken the seal over time so keep that in mind when storing or packing them into emergency kits. Since the pack that sprung a small leak would need to be discarded I gone ahead and opened it and consumed it. The water did taste good and kind of had a “silky” texture, like “FIJI” bottled water. If you don’t know the “texture” I’m talking about then buy yourself a bottle of “FIJI” and you’ll see the difference compared to other bottled water. Very pleasantly smooth is my description. The only downside was the expiration date which is supposed to be 5 years shelf life but, already lost 9 months from the time of manufactured and upon receiving the packs. This doesn’t mean I won’t purchase more but just a little disappointing. Pros - compact packs easy to store and tastes pleasant. Cons - packs can leak if not careful and expiration date can be iffy. Other than that I like them and does help with emergency roadside kits if on long road trips or just to keep a box or two for “just in case” emergency situations.

Thank goodness we've not had to use these yet. But I'm confident that they would be a significant emergency save if ever the event happens that we would need. So far there have been zero leaks. I just can't tell you how they taste.

Sturdy aluminum bags. Wish they had bigger bags. Keep a few of these in your vehicles for emergencies.

I had to review and replace items from my emergency bag, which are the water packets which has since expired. I found that Amazon also has Emergency water packets. They are very easy to use; each water packet is individually wrapped. With the self-life of 5 years.

I bought this water for my preps. It is well-packaged and boxed. Great to put in the car for vacation or just to cleanse a small wound out.
