Perfect Tool for Guitar Fret Marker Diamond Inlays
This tool is perfect for fretboard inlay carving, especially the diamond shaped fret markers. What used to take many minutes now takes less than 1 minute. A really sharp and well made tool.

Almost Tiny Chisel for Guitar Top Splints
This is a nice small 90-degree chisel that was reasonably sharp out of the package. A couple of swipes on a strop and it was darn sharp. I've wanted a chisel like this for a long time to cut splints for guitar top repairs- cut a groove in the top; then cut a perfect match from donor spruce. Glad I bought it, worked great in a dry run!

Great
You can't go wrong with this item. It has great ergonomics and probably the best factory edge I've ever seen on a tool. The only challenge will be deciding what you want to make with it!UPDATE: I added a picture of my first carving. I used the same basswood blanks found here on Amazon. I also have some insights:1. This tool is a great value. It won't last forever, but it will last long enough to get you interested in carving and teach you some techniques. I have finally planned, started, and finished a carving, instead of just fiddling around like I did before. Any tool which has the power to get a person over that initial hump is very valuable!2. You need a GOOD knife. A v-tool alone can accomplish a lot, but the knife is used to make a lot of the stop cuts and pull cuts which help you take out chips of wood in a controlled way. You cannot fully gauge the ability of a tool like this one unless you ALSO have an equally good knife. I was using a cheap utility knife, which bottlenecked me in many ways. But I still managed a piece that I'm happy with.

Very pleased
Grip is good and wood comes of the block like butter. Compared my other gouges to this one and this one is far superior. Super sharp out of the package and very reasonable price.
